it was indeed cash converters, in King's Lynn. Any time I go in they seem to get left with nothing but GBA SPs.

Like I said originally, that was my initial guess too. I have checked the connections and they seem sound, which is why I'm looking for a possible alternative reason.

No I'm running it through an amp, it's still really quiet, but very noisy. Some of the noise cuts out if i touch certain things while it's playing, eg. if i touch the 1/4 cable on one of the metal parts, it is less noisy, or if i touch the side of the batteries, it cuts out a different bit of the noise. If i touch the connectors on the plug i'm using (they're sticking out of the back of the GB at the moment) it gets noisier. This makes me think it's something to do with grounding, but I could be way off.

Cheers, that's what I thought which is why I hadn't done it already. I jsut can't figure out why it has no volume to it.

If I'm adding a prosound to a GBP, not using the existing jack, as it's a 1/4 inch, do I still need to remove the em2 and em3 parts? I've put my prosound in and thought it should be working, but it's coming out incredibly quiet (I had to plug it into my guitar amp and turn it right the way up just to be able to hear it) but with a very noisy signal. At first I thought it was just bad soldering, but I've just tested it with a multimeter and everything seems fine.

Cheers

Picked up this GBP from a pawn shop for £10 a couple of months ago. Just got my soldering iron back after my brother borrowed it and felt the need to put in a prosound. I still haven't made room in the rear to put the back on properly, but particularly if I'm using a right angled jack, I can imagine this working quite well. I just took the speaker out entirely - it's not like I ever use it.

If I feel like making it a bit cleaner, I may fill in the remaining speaker holes and repaint it, but I'm not overly fussed about aesthetics at the moment.

I'm just outside of King's Lynn - occasionally venture into Norwich. My music sucks though, I'm not releasing anything until I've worked on my abilities and equipment a bit more.

I'm also hoping to attend GROK day, will hopefully meet a few people there.

OK, so I know that using an Arduinoboy, or similar, LSDJ can accept Midi and LSDJ can change notes in small amounts, using pitch bends. Does this mean that I can send a note to LSDJ using Midi that is not a perfect note?

For example: If I want to send Middle C to the GameBoy, i send 60, I want to send C#, i send 61. Can I send 60.5?

Cheers.

You could always make this thread more on-topic, by asking if drinking alchohol and writing music work well together.

I will try my best to make this, but it's a helluva journey, and a city I've never been to before, so I might end up dropping away out of sheer laziness.

I enjoyed this - You, my friend, have earned yourself a download.

I nearly didn't listen to this, but I am so glad I did! *bought!*

It's a combination of 3 of my favourite things in the world:

Music.
Games.
Building stuff.

I was totally digging this until the screams in Monotony Cycle. Sorry bro sad However, i liked every other track, and even the bits without any screams in Monotony Cycle were good (bear in mind this is hard for me to say as i don't get along with metal too well, or chiptune with vocals) It's a great release otherwise though. Would totally have bought it had i not just discovered that work screwed up my pay.
