Rage quit is one of the coolest ideas I've seen in awhile!

YAYAYAY! Awesome! Not a problem at all. Always happy to help!

Fixed!  Dug the 220 resistor out of my RGB backlight gameboy and the pocket works like a champ now!

Great! So happy to hear this! It really is such a simple fix. Unfortunately the Pocket simply can't stand that much power drain!

@thursdaycustoms its a green backlight.

Okay, those draw a TON of power. I bet the backlight is so bright it kind of washes out the LCD? I believe they were designed more for the DMG. Definitely try a 220ohm resistor and see how that works. Should be a perfect brightness and your LCD will likely not change contrast when running LSDJ. Let me know if it works!

The issue is that your backlight is draining too much power. You need to add a resistor to the backlight to bring the brightness down and therefor draw less power. I have to do this with every Pocket that I backlight. I would recommend somewhere between 100ohms and 220ohms depending on the color of your backlight.
But as an experiment you can try desoldering the backlight altogether and try running LSDJ again. This will tell you without a doubt if your backlight is drawing too much power. I would recommend starting at 150ohms and then seeing which way you need to go from there.

Just finished this today.

The only problem is the holes on the top but whatever. It kinda looks cool if you ask me. tongue

That looks cool! I like the red button mixed in there. I never even thought of using both of the stand of screws at the top with the pot. You can use a bigger drill bit for the low limiter to clean it up and then use a counter sink bit to bevel the edges of the holes if you want them to be super clean.

Finally got around to finishing my NES. Lowgain Audio mod and a hidden MIDI jack for Chip Maestro so the door doesn't have to hang open. Also, yellow power LED for swagger.

That's pretty fucking dope, can you just unplug the cart, and use a different one any time?

Thanks! Yep, I've got a powerpak with most of the NES library on it and I wasn't going to give up being able to play it!

Thanks! I've seen someone do something similar with their MIDINES but to where they couldn't remove the cart. This seemed like a better option.

It's just a flat 20% off of everything. Shipping prices are normal. A super Game Boy by itself is $20. If you want a prosound mod you will have to add it to your cart as "installed".
