Nordloef told me it was because 1.0 had a lot of bugs, so most people traded it in for 1.1

i believe so. i only got into using nanoloop with 1.1, so my knowledge of 1.0 is limited to what i remember from the old nanoloop forums and talking to people

well Low-gain is still playing shows pretty regularly, best bet would be to stop by one of them if you can and say hi. if that's not an option, hit him up online through his facebook artist page

As far as I know I'm the only guy in MN that's into chipmusic. Not that would expect anything different from Minnesota. Garbage truck of a state. Someday I want to move to like Nevada or something. One day....

untrue. he's not really doing chip stuff these days (more modular synth stuff), but Low-gain is in the Twin Cities and Cryptosystem is in Mankato, i think. it's been years, but there were a handful of pretty good sized chip gigs up there in the past in the twin cities and out at The Garage in Burnsville

yeah, 1.0 is super rare, 1.1 & 1.2 only slightly less so (more copies exist, but i think by now most have landed in the collections of people with little to no interest in parting with them). 2.2 is probably fairly rare at this point as it's the same hardware as 2.3-2.6 (iirc) so i;d bet most got upgraded to one of the newer versions. 2.1 carts don't turn up that often either, but more frequently than 1.0-1.2 or 2.2. 1.5 shows up semi-frequently, and 1.3 a little more often than that from what i've seen ( i think more 1.3 carts exist than 1.5 carts).. none of them show up that often though, so if you're think about collecting them, you probably shouldn't hesitate if you spot one available for a reasonable price

awesome. i use psp and w32 most anyway. did Marc post a changelog anywhere?

oh nice, i didn't know there was a new ghetto build. i was still using 1.3m_051. are there new builds for gp2x, pi & psp as well? (yes, i'm insane and using all 4 platforms at different points in time)

i'm grabbing it (and a bunch of other stuff) off my mostly-dead windows 7 laptop now. i'll upload it and post a link when i get a chance later today

I am currently looking how to properly play Mother 3. Anyways I just got my hands with an EZ Flash 4 IV and I all I can say is it's pretty cool with all the features that it includes. It supports lots of homebrews, modded GBA roms and all kind of original games back in the day. I purchased mine at emuflash com. Arrived a few days since I ordered one from them and superb service. You should really try EZ flash 4 from them. IMO the best flash card for gameboy advance put there at a very good price. smile

why is it that i suspect you are the person who owns that site? besides of course that you apparently signed up just to post in a nearly 4 year-old thread. oh wait, it's because the domain's whois info is registered with the same email you used to register here. proceed with caution, for obvious reasons, if you decide to order from this seller. if they're lying about ordering from themselves, who knows what else they'd lie about given that we even have a trading post section where they could have just been honest and said "Hey, i stock gba flashcarts in case you want to buy one"

i think it was just because of your extended period of inactivity on the site, honestly can't remember at this point.. i remember at some point a few of the staff getting removed for that reason, mostly because we didn't want members filling up pm inboxes with their concerns if the people they were sending the messages to weren't ever around. i even stepped down for a few years during the time you were gone, but came back after we shut down Datathrash
edit: looking at the current staff list, we might be due for that again, not sure when the last time a handful of them have been on the site, likely been over a year

Any examples out there of mono + LSDJ? Couldn't find any in the thread or YouTube.
I'm inches away from ordering mono.. I know they'll sync but I'm hoping the two will compliment each other well.

i guess i could whip together some mono stuff to go with one of my old LSDJ tracks, actually have my LSDJ cart out for once (it usually just sits in a drawer)

OK, thanks.
I was wondering because of that:

MIDI signals from the Game Boy are forwarded to the PC.

I tested this mode and I nothing shows up in my midi monitor.
Is there a use for this mode?

if you read nitro's post that was after what you quoted, you have your answer

It relies on the GB program to send data formatted as MIDI. There's probably no software today that can actually make use of this functionality. (Trash80's modded LSDj version has a different protocol.) If you wanted to try if it works, I guess you could connect one NL adapter in MIDI out mode to another NL adapter in MIDI in, or an Arduinoboy in MIDI mode to an NL adapter in MIDI in mode to form a loopback.

AV mixer looks good, resolume looks like exactly what i'm looking for - shame abt the price, but guess if its designed for the stadiums it makes sense.
Also would like some sleek live input (e.g. c64 in), maybe resolume has this, but where is the indie software!

if you have a usb composite video capture card, you can use it as an input in av mixer, so you can use it with a c64, feedback loops from a hardware mixer, a bent NES, whatever you want

didn't even realize aestesis was still around, guess i'll mess with their new version a little.. i used to use it a long time ago
edit: wow, they actually haven't updated since 2005. time to figure out which version of winamp is old enough for it to use it avs as a module in it
not sure if any of this works in windows10 properly, can't get aestesis to seem to recognize the winamp visualization either with winamp grabber or the normal grabber.. guess i'll mess with it on xp instead

that's cool. he and end.user are both really nice guys besides being amazing musicians. hope the show went well

hey, you're supposed to list a date in thread title. additionally, both your links trigger avast's threat detection, so i'm removing both links for the safety of our members and guests
edit: replaced the facebook one myself with a valid link
