As much as I love working with LSDJ, I really don't like the need for a computer to back up your savs. I know, this seems ridiculous, but in my current situation, I do not have access to a 32 bit OS install the tool onto, nor the computer of my own to do as I please with. I'm aware that there is a way to get around the need of a 32 it OS, but once again I have no computer to call my own.

Besides this, I love everything about chiptune and of the community, the constant creativity you'll find is overwhelming, just how much talent the community has.

Got an Android phone and an EMS cart?

he should just feel lucky it's not like it was in 2008 when you needed a computer with a parallel port.. that was a pain in the ass

there is a goomba version of lsdj that runs pretty well on a gba flash cart and you actually can also run the nanoloop demo rom on goomba as well, but can't save with the demo roms.. does he no longer post new demo roms? he did for a very very long time
though you are best off using a gb flash cart for obvious reasons (nanoloop demo rom still won't save, but lsdj works better with it, probably some games do as well)

it's still dance music.

thankfully not all of it smile
but, yeah it's best to try and play other non-chip gigs, but i also see what they meant about the current booking situation in scene though i'd disagree on the year, many involved in booking in the US at this point weren't in the scene in 2009 nor were many of those getting booked regularly... a lot of my favorite artists don't get booked in the scene and aren't really known to many of the newer people ...though some have disappeared, like Sil Req & Albino Ghost Monkey or moved on to other stuff musically like 8cylinder, Baseck & Low-Gain

that's a damn good price for one at this point if it stays under $200 (edited from $150 when i saw it was 1.1.1, which i believe should have that kevtris chip to get past region locking)

yeah, surprised it took that long for someone to mention this option

oh, and as for experimental stuff, most of what i did as environmental sound collapse was experimental in one way or another

Sorry, only mildly related... but I had this big idea for shooting a music video on GB Camera and realized it was going to be a huge amount of effort to work with so few frames at a time... So I gave up on using the hardware and got the Retroboy camera app for Android. It looks exactly the same and records longer videos without the fuss. If you're trying to do something similar, it might be a better way to go.

you can use a game boy camera either with the super game boy or the game cube game boy adapter and record the video output in real time

pretty sure you only need to use a computer to set up a patchblock and can use it without one once you've made your patch

just set the feedback and level dials all the way up and use one of the normal delay modes and you can do what you're talking about.. it won't technically hold forever, but it will generally stay in the delay for quite a long time

yeah, just keep in mind that your time is worth money too.. and time spent is non-refundable

I'm sitting on a 3-track, 1.5 hour 0F.digital album because people said my 10-minute tracks were too repetitive; in a way I'd love to subject people to the new 30 minute tracks.. but ehhh

id totally listen to this and enjoyed the other stuff so much i posted about it http://www.kittenrock.co.uk/?p=981

oh and for anyone moaning about lack of diversity or unce or whatever, i'm still doing kittenrock http://www.kittenrock.co.uk/ and aggregating interesting chip releases that i find on bandcamp & making podcasts of individual tracks i find

kittenrock is definitely one of the few bright spots.. you've done a great job finding and championing stuff that doesn't fit within the bounds of what most chipmusic is..
and i'm also someone who would probably enjoy the 30-minute long tracks, definitely would give them a listen at least
