the longest track i wrote with any chip stuff involved was just under 28 minutes long (My Mechanical Heart), but i've messed around with improv jams and layered guitar tracks that were longer than an hour

the displays are definitely nice, i've seen the 2.8" one before... haven't seen that exact case in person, but have seen the similar one for model a/b pi's and it was pretty sturdy

i never thought of using an rPi but reading this thread makes perfect sense! is it possible to hook up midi to the rpi/LGPT combo? i already have a PSP with LGPT but never felt really right so i never spent much time on it.

yes, any class compliant usb midi interface works just fine.. i've used both a cheapo $4 one from amazon and a novation remote 25sl compact with mine without any issues

Does someone here use the built in audio output with the audio_pwm_mode=2 and latest rpi-update.
Seem to fix the background noise and bad quality of the built in audio output.

I'm near to buy a pi3 with lcd and case. this one seem to be really fine and cheap. But I don't want tons of usb stuff plugged on it, only ps3 blutooth pad and usb midi.

that case looks like the one i ordered at one point for my b+, which was a piece of crap. 6 pieces of poorly cut plexiglass that barely fit together and got in the way of connecting anything to most of the ports.... i'd go for something better to be safe

That is a surprise isn't it? I think I got that once too because I made a post once about chip and car audio, posted a vid of my Gameboy pounding my sub, then I log in the next day and the bubble said "Bass! How low can you go?"

Tim came up with that one. This was right before 4/20. I regret not coming up with "Treble! How high can you get?" in time.

i was the one who changed it to "Bass! How low can you go?"

Decisions decisions... Move this whole thread to graveyard, or only the worst shit since the thread does contain some constructive discussion about music theory.

only the nonsense, probably

somehow that suggestion seems even worse than darkchip or chipthrash

Btw, gasman made a very nice js player for various chip formats: http://www.pouet.net/topic.php?which=10708&page=1

Also, why is this in General Discussion and not in Bugs/Feature requests?

good point.. moving now.. must have missed this one when i was organizing the general discussion section a few days ago

seriously. not sure why people think that artists and musicians should work for free

for one, having multiple outs for when you want to use it for multiple instruments at one time... that alone seem worth it to me...
also, 6-voices per instrument, up to 4 instruments (volca has 3 voices, 1 instrument)

To give him some credit, his history looks pretty normal before the graveyard thread.

yeah, thought that was pretty weird too...

probably best to just acknowledge things by separate names... there's chippunk, chipmetal, chipindustrial, chipnoise, amigacore, etc...

the irony is that i actually said we should give you the benefit of the doubt when the topic of your behavior was raised by another staff member..
regardless, you've been warned. the only reason i was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt was because you insulted me directly, if you'd done that to another member i'd have been less inclined to let it slide
