good call, they should have everything still, i'd imagine

depends on how you made the tracks.. you have guitar and vocals recorded separately, presumably? even the chip stuff as one wav file, vocals as another and guitar as a third with the bpm settings in a txt file all zipped together will help anyone remixing it considerably so they can work with them individually

id still set the bar higher than having one song written.. there are now thousands of artists spread all over the US, and some guy/gal who just wrote their first song isnt exactly a representation of how things are evolving, in fact many start out by trying to emulate what theyver heard their favorite artists do

its not just about making it easier for them, you'll also get better tracks back smile

i heard a lot of people had issues with the multi-channel versions (is that correct, nitro?).. i know ive always used the version that sets it to channels 11-15 with no issues

if you want people to remix, its usually best to provide stems/loops instead of having them work from a finished track (especially an mp3), since that severely limits their options.. oh and if you do stems/loops, include BPM info (and time signature, if not 4/4)

just a thought, you should aim higher than doing an open call.. research, find out whose stuff you like and go from there... most of the "stars" of this scene are just as accessible as the newest artists and would make for much better subjects
shitbird is damn good, and lives in st louis, for example.. (though letting geography limit you when megabus goes so many places for cheap isnt really the best idea either)

i linked him the thread, curious to see where this goes

i never multitracked the gameboy or nes parts on any of my stuff.. practice on setting the levels and some EQ/compression did the job fine
in fact, only that first track did i do any multitracking whatsoever, the rest was straight out of the mixer, through a  compressor and into the sound card

this track is tr626 + mGB + piggy tracker http://datathrash.bandcamp.com/track/no … ft-for-you
this is tr626 + yamaha cs01 + midines + DSI mopho + piggy tracker http://e-s-c.bandcamp.com/track/low-tide
this is a bent tr505 + nanoloop 2.3 http://e-s-c.bandcamp.com/track/505diving
this is nanoloop 1.3 + korg electribe ESX-1 http://e-s-c.bandcamp.com/track/grave-robbers-dream
and so it this http://e-s-c.bandcamp.com/track/sunday-morning
this is midines + Yamaha cs01 + DSI Mopho + bent Yamaha RX17 + piggy tracker + bent tr505 + tr626 http://e-s-c.bandcamp.com/track/blazes-in-the-night-sky
and this is midines + bent tr505 + dsi mopho + piggy tracker http://e-s-c.bandcamp.com/album/my-mechanical-heart

dont think i ever did a track with just 2.x & the tr626 though, not that it wouldnt work

besides those, i also re-released everything. all 40+ releases are available again, some for the first time in a decade or so. all available digitally for $1 each, or $2-5 on cd

well three of them posted in this thread already.. the one person who said they wanted their song shared was little-scale.

possibly, though every iso i tried runs fine off internal memory.... some of the cso's are iffy, but that can happen with compressed images

its frequency modulation, just a type of synthesis.. sega systems used it, as did many yamaha synths, old soundblaster cards and nanoloop 2.3 has it in there too... massive's is just one of the software options for fm synthesis

realized will green is an urgent need, so here are 14 tracks.. http://www.soundcollapse.org/drop/will_green.zip

seems a little better, but not great.. maybe ill do a test later and copy them to the memory card too and time them both.. its not horrible, though some folders take 2-3 seconds to load properly
