AFAIR Use a bit of force, unless you hear cracking you're good to go.

Hijacking the thread a bit since i have the same problem only worse.

I only have three lines visible but if i press on the cable underneath i can get the entire screen working but i've been unable to fix it with the method provided, are there really no hope for my screen or am i doing something wrong?

Does anyone have spare LCDs for the units in the title?

I'm just looking for one per unit, i've tried repairing the screens but to no avail.

Gothenburg would be nice! or even trollhättan but i'm not too sure trollhättan has that many chip-heads hmm

Hi one and all and noone.

Names johan and i'm actually not using gameboys nor trackers for my music, well not yet anyway since i have a hard time learning the programs for some reason. Anyhow, i like skedaddling with electronics but i'm kinda new to the chip scene eventhough i've been listening to chip since '98 or something like that. I'm also the local repairman for my friends since i'm basically the only one who knows more about electronics and how they work other than using a computer. Well, that's that i guess.

//Cheers!

Hi one and all!

i've got my hands on a broken 3DS and i need to test the lower screens functionality before friday (21st) and i need to find the pinout and voltage for it so i can see if the screen actually works, but my googling skills have failed me so i thought i could ask here.

According to the battery cover the rating for the system is 4.6 volts so i guess the screen operates within 4 to 5 volts, but as stated earlier i don't know where to put the power so i can see if it works.

any tips or solutions would be helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Ps. the motherboard is dead so i cannot use it to test the screen.

I'm trying to put in a jack myself but the pics on the first page ain't showing so i can't make heads or tails on this hmm i have the pinouts and everything ready to go i just need some theoretical input on where to put the jack. I'm using a jack from the 3DS btw as it is a bit smaller than the one on the pocket and GBC.
