How can you have too many retro gaming consoles?

No, I thought that question was alright, I often joke about having "too many" consoles, because I do, I don#'t have enough room for all of them, as well as my music gear, hence why my room looks perma messy

i too have pm'd, although if anyone out there desperately wants this, but doesn't already own a white PIL (like I do) then I'd choose them. gotta distribute those beauties fairly, or something

oh yeah, this doesn't really seemed to be aimed at non americans, I cant remember the choices, but there didn't seem to be anything that suggested this was aimed at people other than those living in america, idk, that could have just been the way I interpreted it though

got one or two problems with the survey, first of all the lack of ages bellow 18, there are a quite a few chipmusicians who are under 18 (myself included)
also having 8bitcollective.org seeing as it's no longer a thing, I put it down anyway because I used to spend a lot of time on there.

Oh right, what exactly is the hardware issue? I'm not great at this kind of thing, but someone managed to control a piano through midi data sent from a PSP, so why is PSP midi with piggy not plausible?

It is plausible. Find out how they connected the PSP to the piano and there's your hardware solution.

Just thought I'd follow up on this, I was referring to this video where a dude sent midi messages to his psp. I know it's not the same thing, but it shows midi data can be understood. The link in the video is dead, wayback machine gives me the page itself, but again, broken links to the important stuff. That said, he said some words, and those might mean something to someone. There's nothing about it on his site or his github. I tweeted him about it, but have yet to get a reply. The latest tweets on there are (I assume) automated, so he hasn't been on it in a while. However, the aforementioned words he said, as well as this may help peice some stuff together for someone who understands what he's talking about

or not idk

for PC there's Beepola, there are a couple of on-console trackers by Shiru iirc

well the game idea i had in mind was a platformer/puzzler  those type of games are rare in the homebrew community

those genres are very prevalent in the indie scene though

imo make what you like, do what you like, and if it's good, other people will play it.

I enjoy live performances of other genres of music face to face, I enjoy live chiptune webstreams. I haven't been to a face to face chiptune gig yet, but I have no reason to see why I would dislike it.
