^Unfortunately it's a bit more difficult to find people for stuff like this these days.
A few of the more-popular aesthetic artists (like Thretris) retired from the scene a while back, and we lost a pretty decent-sized chunk of the chip community when 8bitcollective was finally shut down.
Not that the community hasn't built itself back up or that it isn't better for it, but it's definitely different.

Anyway, I've replied to your PM and once I get some more information from you I'll likely end up sending you a mockup image to make sure you know exactly what you'd be getting, and if I can't nail the exact style you want, I definitely suggest hitting up the Chiptunes = WIN Facebook group. There are plenty of great people over there who'd definitely be able to help you.

im p sure thretris never quit, he just went away for a while, came back, did some stuff, then has gone back into hiding

I don't believe I've ever listened to of any of the groups/artists mentioned in this thread.  It's somewhat shocking how narrow my interest in chip-related stuff has become.

If youve played THUG2 (like 90% of the people I know) then you've heard Jimmy Eat World at least

Maybe I'm short-sighted, but what more could you really want than NitroTracker? It's extremely usable.

To be honest, it's kind of limited. If I recall correctly from last time using it before my NDS broke down, no support for editing commands. No support for playing back pitch commands (commands 1,2,3 missing, maybe even 0, arpeggio!) Clunky user interface. (Would have benefitted from LSDj style editing, A+directions for notes, in addition to the touch interface.) Overall crappy audio quality, though that could partially be blamed on the NDS hardware.

I actually thought the interface worked quite well, it wasn't hard to switch between the tabs depending on what you wanted to do. The sample editing part was done really well, it works well with the stylusm and selecting what part of the sample you wnat ot use is quite precise.

I mean obviously, it's nowhere near finished because the only note command you have is volume, but it's fine for getting the basic idea of a song down.

Spending too much time scrutinizing someone's setup is a great way to be really boring at a show.

true, but it's always fun to see what kind of gear peeps are rocking

TempSoundSolutions sent me a link to this really cool track a while back, I saved it somewhere I hope, and I've got a folder full of un-released modules from this guy called herr_fu, all of them are really damn good.
