I was getting a flash cart from Kitsch.
I'm in the US.

Unfortunately I just got my modded and ready-to-go DMG  from 8BitAesthetics today. I still need a way of getting LSDJ. I've never done raw hardware Chiptune before on a Gameboy and I want to try it. Before I was always using software such as FL Studio and a shit ton of plugins, or Nanoloop on my iPhone to produce Chiptune. But it never sounded as good as the original stuff I hear.

Could anyone direct me to exactly where I could get ahold of LSDJ?
Because I keep seeing that it's not available anymore. All I know is I'm suppose to get a flash cartridge, which by my guess is a blank cartridge with nothing on it? So how the hell do I get LSDJ? DX

In the track "Mouth Full of Ashes" by Electric Children the voice has this strange effect on it at 2:46 and it sounds really nice.
Cheesy and young sounding but I like it. I wanna know what is done to that to get that close-to-the-mic distorted and slightly auto-tuned sound to it.
It just sounds filtered so nicely or something with it.

Nanoloop is pretty limited to be honest. I've been using it since it first came out. It's 5 channels, you can add or record samples, it uses RECT, FM, and NOISE. And a bunch of things I have yet to figure out but I guess at.

I'm guessing TMB is for Timber, BR is for bass or something about bass, envelope is how long or short the sound is, vol is volume, and lfo is a modulation effect, and I still can't really figure out fq (frequency?) it gets strange sometimes when you switch the fq to tmb or br for certain sounds. It get's really weird. I just don't understand that part.

There's no squares, saws, sines, and triangles. It's more like sounds made by the developed of Nanoloop that you start it on with. Idk how to explain it really.

I'm making the switch to LSDJ this week, I just bought an LSDJ prepared DMG with prosound mod and stuff from ebay 2 days ago. Still waiting for it..

I do not understand a single thing about the hardware stuff for Chiptune. I wish I knew. I'm a mixing and mastering kind of guy, more about plugins, effects, and the software. I don't know what to do with my DMG I just got today. It has a prosound mod, LSDJ, Play It Loud, and it's clear with a pink backlit screen. I got it off ebay. Hopefully it will do the trick and I'll be able to produce Chiptune a little better now than using Nanoloop and Milkytracker on my ipod, iphone, laptop, and gameboy.

I made the switch to hardware and LSDJ recently. I just don't understand a single hardware thing about soldering or the wires or anything. I feel dumb. :(

Ello, pretty ladies and gentlecats!
My name is Joshy!
I've been producing Chiptune in alternative ways using Nanoloops on my iPod and iPhone, but before that was FL Studio and a lot of Chiptune plugins. And before that was actually Milky Tracker on my old PC. And before that was using sequencers that I ran into effects a lot.

So I'm not new to Chiptune. Just not very equipped and have had many different attempts of producing Chiptune.

I absolutely love it just as everyone else does here!

And I'm willing to be friends with just about anyone here!
I want to learn how to use the old-school LDSJ on my Gameboys! :D
