Thanks. This is for custom art actually on the Gameboy Color console though. 16 default palettes are decent, but I wanted to see if I could be more explicit with the colors.
Looks like Gameshark doesn't go that deep though. shucks.

Hey, does anyone know if it's possible to alter those default Gameboy color palettes with Game Shark? Looking to take custom Gameboy pixel artwork a step further.
Haven't been able to turn up anything on Google, any geniuses out there? Thanks!
Hey!
I'm looking for Nanoloop 2 as well. Either 2.7, or the cart + the usb adaptor. Anyone looking to sell/trade theirs?
I was trying to do the same and settled on using KiGB instead of Gambatte
KiGB lets you do that direct, theres an option in there for recording sound right out of the emulator to a WAV file.
You could just import you lsdj battery sav to KiGB. Just an option.
edit: example song I ripped from lesser-known Japanese game RPG maker (gbc): http://closetogood.com/rpg-maker-battle-2.wav
Here's a few pixel art gb roms I've made using Nitro2k1's python compiler:

I've had some success spray painting the backside of clear buttons. It gives a decent effect too- Just an alternative.
This is what I worked on last night. It's a co-op with a friend of mine.
It's spraycoated on the inside which in the end looked a whole lot sharper than I initially thought.
There are a few kinks with it, but nothing too worrying methinks.
Wow, havent seen one like that before! Pretty inspiring... Whats the switch do?
maybe this is what you'd need: http://blog.gg8.se/wordpress/2013/02/19 -graphics/
Any geniuses hiding out here that know a way to animate these custom GB graphics?
I've tried to contact Nitro2k01 through several channels, but haven't heard anything.
Now downloadable! http://closetogood.bandcamp.com/album/slenderman-ep

I don't have the time to do graphic design, but if you guys PM a suitable image, I can turn you over the Rom!
closetogood, is this any difficult? I wanted to do this for ages...
Hey, I followed the directions in the link Kitsch sent:
http://blog.gg8.se/wordpress/2013/02/19
-graphics/
If this doesn't make any sense to you, than I wouldn't call it at all easy. It takes navigating and installing patches in Python.
And Kitsch, sure, hit me up when you're ready.
Thanks kitsch, thats exactly what I knew was out there but couldn't find. And yes, just so happens I'm a web programmer by trade so this shouldn't be too difficult for me.
Ah, SurfaceDragon is MIA. Is there any other options? I'm trying to find a resource where I can do this myself, or anyone else interested in helping!
Hey guys, this may have been asked before but:
I'm looking to make custom artwork and get it to appear on the gameboy.
I've got a flash cart, is there a certain custom rom I can use to generate the artwork? I've seen some custom screens before, I just want to know ho people are doing this!
Any guidance greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
