I don't perform with midi.  Just compose and record.  So I don't hold the DMG much.  Just sits on my desk.  So it's not impractical.  Plus, with internal arduinoboy, I can sync 2 DMGs at once.

Just finished this MIDIboy.  Messed up a little bit on the spacing while drilling for the LEDs but otherwise it came out great.  Has white mode LEDs on top, white backlight, and an PCB_prosound mod.  The arduinoboy mode switch is on the bottom left.  Was going to switch out the battery LED to white but the arduino pro mini board has a red LED that shines through the speaker grill so I left the red battery LED in to match the arduino.

Well the last pair I used were freshly charged and brand new.  But it's not a problem.  I'll just switch to regular backlight which don't have problems with rechargeable batteries.

You guys should do a show here in Tucson!

As the title says, I need 5 d-pad and 5 a/b button silicone pads.  Anyone have any?

I just got 5 as-is DMGs for $20 that all powered up with no dead lines but the buttons didn't work.  Seller said he didn't know more than that.  I got them 'cause $20 for 5 working LCDs still seemed like a good deal.  But it turns out the DMGs simply need the silicone button pads.

I use rechargeables and I tried fresh ones but still got the problem.  So maybe rechargeables don't like the panel.  I'm just going to swap it out or a regular backlight and put the el in something.

Been using my MGB for a few days now with the el_dmg kit installed but now my cart constantly crashes and when I press play the contrast almost completely disappears.  Are you having any problems with yours?

What's so bad about having the same color scheme as somebody else? It's not like it affects the sound or anything wink

I realize I didn't have a "haha" or "lol" in that post which makes it sound angry.  I don't care that someone else had the same theme idea.  I just thought I was being creative and unique.

haha

lol

Are you f'n serious mate!!  I seriously just painted up a shell and was building this exact theme.  I just haven't assembled it yet.  Damn it to hell!

Guess I'll be rethinking the build.

I didn't know there was a second color scheme.

It's probably not rare or unusual in Europe (particularly France) but I have the Smurfs game in French (les SCHTROUMPFS) so here in the US and back home in South Africa people always get a kick out of it.  I have my USB bleepbloop cart in the shell.

Anyone up for playing in Yuma this summer? It's hot as hell, but that's not stopping me at the moment. Lol

I'd be down to help with a show in Yuma even though I hate Yuma.  Also, I have a terrible stage presence so I doubt I'd be willing to play anymore.  Played once and didn't like the reaction.  Though it wasn't a chip show but still.
