I have no problem using friend lists, although I agree that managing them has the worst possible interface (like any settings on Facebook. I suspect it was made by the same guy who did the Office 2010 config menus)

all good suggestions.

Also, 8bit bEtty, tobiah, PDF Format

It was a joke by him because the discussion in the other thread drifted towards INAPPROPRIATE USE OF QUOTATION MARKS for a bit. I'm partly responsible for that. Sorry.

He spammed his album here, but I can't comment: http://en-gb.facebook.com/pages/Chiptun … ;filter=12
He has a single for sale up on iTunes, but I can't preview because iTunes is stupid: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/ljn-single/id395801572
I guess this is his other bandcamp account: http://firestarman.bandcamp.com/
Wait, didn't that one pop up before? I think I remember something about it. Can't find a thread, but I remember the guy got busted before because of a stolen Lady Gaga cover or something.

Edit: Yeah, I think the thread was nuked in one of the 8bc hickups. Someone with a better track/artist memory should check the two releases there and report them if something stolen is on them tongue

Only once, guy put it on newgrounds with a couple of other tracks by different "artists".

Yay, I'm popular!

just struck me as sort of funny the way its quoted.  this thing, "america"...  the so-called ""

The worst offenders are restaurants and bistros around where I live. They can never, ever figure out where quotation marks go.
The bistro around the corner of my workplace advertises "stew" every other week. Like hell I'm touching stew that's put in quotation marks! "Today" is another favorite. I guess because it's relative of the time-zone or planet or something?

This thread is old, but has some of the best recommendations ever

Uhm.. I hope people realize that this isn't just a PS pixel filter. I'm not a pixel pusher, but even I can see it's hand-made. Maybe traced, but deffo not a filter.

Zan-zan, don't worry! "this beat will make your heart explode" is just a hyperbole metaphor. It only means you'll get kidney stones.

Aww, all she wanted was for you to write an email and mail it to her email. Now she will be waiting in vain for you to reply with a mail to her email.

You are a cold, cruel man.

the apparent unpredictability of generating FM sounds.

That's actually part of the appeal for me. I can't quite put it in math terms, in this case my brain's pattern recognition picks up faster than my logical/reason part, but after a while of playing around with different op/mod/fb setups you can somewhat predict what kind of sound you get-- until you pull down the amplitude of a modulator and get something entirely different.

Whenever I make an FM instrument, there's a lot of knob twiddling involved for me. I usually have a vague idea, try to set it up and then just poke around. I've also learned that true FM (ie wire an OSC to the pitch of another OSC) is a lot more unpredictable than phase modulation, and detunes the sounds for high frequencies/amplitudes, making it even more difficult.

It's usually worth it though, because you can get very rich sounds from it.
