theyve made ones for guitar cables, and i have a converter for guitar cables. a few weeks ago a friend of mine was jamming in our schools hallways with his guitar and his ipod, and there was zero latency. i imagine with I/O capabilities they could make a similar app for synths/FX.

Hmm...I looked into this, and though I have XP I found a mixer for my soundcard. It doesn't seem to affect mic input though...

I had a crazy idea that I would not buy a mixer and just use my computer to EQ my Gameboy in realtime. Can this work somehow? I figured I would just run my Gameboy through the mic input on my computer and have a program (hopefully one that doesnt use many resources) and obviously output through the stereo output.
So would this work?
If so, what VST would you recommend for real time EQing? I guess what DAW too as I don't want something munching all my CPU and causing lag.

damn, 8bitweapon is such an original name. like we couldnt infer that you were 8bit just by the look of your website and by the lo-fi sound of your music. did you ever think to change your name to make it less generic and trendy? thats probably why they were impressionable enough to use it.

i record with an acer aspire one, i use adobe audition and my tracks come out fine. i typically have lots of other shit using up system resources too, so i dont know why you would have this problem unless the hiss is very subtle in which case you should stop complaining and get your own pc fixed.

guitar, vocals, got into electronic music making happy hardcore, uplifting trance, and some house-ish kind of stuff. now that i make chip i dont need labels for people to relate to my stuff!
