quBit, how many manhours do you think goes into a set like this?

also, metal buttons are conductive (unless they are coated with something which isn't, of course).  one could conceivably 'wire' up these buttons and create contact points to do 'stuff'.

i'm not sure why, just a thought.

like a cracklebox.

for example, you'd need one 'master pole' to touch, then you could tap the metal buttons to trigger things.  events, glitches, whatever.

this way the buttons won't be contact points, unless this master pole is touched as well.

this could work...   and be pretty cool.  with any conductive metal of course.

well, thats cool!

very clever wink

its because the "/" in your name is making the link to your profile page have a "/" in it, which in the URL world means something...

how about this:  what would you like your name to be, which doesn't include a slash or anything important to a URL...?  perhaps pick one of your two names?

the slash is whats doing it though.  its gotta go...

Don't buy an EMS if you're running os x and don't have a windows virtual or anything. The mac version of the gameboy cart flasher program doesn't work right with EMS carts so you won't be able to flash new versions of whatever program you're using or load up alternate .sav files

There's still the bleep bloops but they're stupid expensive and drama. I'm waiting until the aussie cart to get another one personally.

this doesn't work right? http://lacklustre.net/redmine/projects/ems-flash/wiki

the two flashing softwares for this stuff, the EMS-based and Ziegler-based, aren't really compatible.  i think one will do the RAM of the other, but i forget which it is...

i'm not aware of the linked-to software not working though on OS X...  i mean, working for its features atm...

DMG uses 5V internally and can run on a 5V power supply without strain, the (normal) 6V from the batteries or AC adapter is converted to  +5V (for most everything inside) and -18/19V (for the LCD's contrast)...

you're good.  wink

USB provides a cheap regulated 5V, for breadboarding even if you want.  there is a current limitation, but apart from this its your basic regulated 5V power source.  you just ignore the data/clock lines, and use the Vcc and GND.

2.5 is a little buggy right now, but thats being corrected.

try updating the ROM, the instructions can be found on 2.5's page on the nanoloop.com site.  the update ROM is more-than-likely an updated version of the one on your cartridge.

this is why they've been sitting in a drawer, 'coming soon,' for the last bit for us hmm   just a little buggy, and oliver is working this out now wink

i bet you didn't plug the ribbon cable back in wink  it happens to everyone, to me constantly...

if the power LED on the front is coming on, but no image on the LCD screen, try adjusting the contrast dial.  still no luck, take it apart, take the ribbon cable out, clean the contacts wth some rubbing alcohol, wait till dry, put it back in, try again.

if the red power LED isn't on, and the LCD is dead, you missed getting that cable plugged back in most likely.

you could have inadvertently made a solder bridge between the two leads of the speaker.  since you desoldered it, its possible.

patience and a cool mind.

shouldn't have happened.  weird.

the images at the beginning are nicely cut up i think, but everyone is right; a promo should promote yourself (pretty solely in fact)...  unless you are a cover band of course...

the music in that whole bit isn't fitting.

too long.  you just can't hold people's interest for that long unless they care.  and, you are trying to get them to care by promoting yourself, they aren't coming to you already caring...  you'll get more interest with a short vid.  10 - 20 seconds should do it for a promo vid unless you've got something complicated (otherwise this length vid should be a music video)  and, also don't save your info until the last frames.  no one will see it.  integrate it within the video or in the beginning, or just put it in the description, but leaving it at the end means no one will see it hardly...
