buy one with a nice shell thats being sold as broken (you'll get it cheap). give the insides to people who need them. low-gain would like the back PCB. i'm sure of it.
take the shell, get rid of the rest.

...then went back to listening to Gary Numan
don't take it insultingly... Numan is a compulsion sometimes...
yes, we *used* to carry smartboy carts, but due to the aforementioned supply issues they have, we stopped bothering. it was a headache...
the GB everdrive carts are indeed happening (as mentioned on the krikzz forums), but look towards next month
it IS about time for a magic cart. totally agreed.
yes, you can.
the only issue with smartboy carts i've had, or have heard others having, is the crazy long wait time, or them simply not fulfilling orders.
works fine on 64bit Win7, and is even officially supported to do so... not sure why it would be said its not compatible. its just a workaround to do this...
also,
Please indicate prices on items you are selling, if you are tying to see what you can get for it use an auction site like ebay.
yes, doing...

sowwies. if you go to ebay to continue the auction, please let everyone know (as there seems to be the interest on some things)
messaged
yeah, clear seems to be what most people are interested in and will probably be the direction we steer for the most part... apart from simple colors. thanks for the input! it mattered
translucent green, for sure. as far as other colors, we get a bunch of requests for neon colors so probably those too. i'm always open to suggestions
light blue is my favorite color. that should probably happen some day although i'm not sure if there is the demand for the color...
yeah, in the future when we do runs of buttons, we'll do accompanying power switches as well. probably this means getting extra of them to offer singles to people who may want them.
our backlight doesn't remove the power LED, which doesn't serve as a low battery light anyways, only as an indicator of power... not sure i understand the comparison... this is a feature never implemented on the dmg, its something i found missing and would be helpful.
i suppose you could gauge the natural dimming of the power LED and judge whether its as bright as its supposed to be. but, this isn't like that at all. this illuminates when the batteries get low. otherwise, no light. much different concept...
in other words, this isnt' the power LED, which *is* removed for some backlight installations. this is a new feature, not a replacement LED. there would be no point in that...
the dmg runs at 5V internally. meaning, ICs in this range would (typically) have a tolerance of +/- 10% for the voltage supply. so, a suggested use at 4.5V - 5.5V. this kit indicates when the batteries can only supply 4.6V. so, *just* before the batteries can only output right at the lower end of suggested tolerance, which increases the life of electronics. so, apart from knowing about a soon-to-be-dead battery, there's this also...
pocket version is being done. chinese new year messed up the schedule.

hey everybody!
exciting news, we've just put out our newest product, the batt_dmg.
batt_dmg is a low-power LED indication kit which visually alerts you when your batteries in your DMG are getting weak to the point they need to be exchanged or recharged. this helps avoid unnecessary strain on the electrical components of your dmg, as well as provides a warning so you don't get stuck in an important situation with already weak batteries (like a concert, yikes!).
more info can be found here, and in the documentation available in the description: http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/batt_dmg
we hope you enjoy! the kit is VERY easy to install, and makes a great beginner's project.
till next time, keep chipping!
