we're in the process, they just take a while to manufacture, not to mention the cost.  so we're doing one color after another in succession (personal preference on the order).  and two are in the process of being made right now, i got a sneak picture last week in fact smile

if you're interested at all, if you can find a way to dye custom small batches of colors, i'd be happy to work with you on cheap bulk stuff.  this would for sure be the best solution, please a lot of people, the only problem is the current coloring methods are super limited

edit -- also, before i forget again, i really like the name you've picked for your shop.

^ you really should think about that, good idea

or an overlay of some sort.  maybe you could find a place that does the silicon overlays and have them doa run of custom printed ones for lsdj...

PM'd ya (or, PMing you)

as of this morning basically.  there are like, ten-ish orders i have unpackaged that will get wrapped up into this, and then all orders from here on out until they run out,

i believe they were 5 euro for the set of three

while supplies last!

orders of $50 or more are getting one of the limited edition pixel art stickers KeFF has done, we picked up a whole bunch of them as a reward of sorts and to encourage the pixelart stickers project!

blue stone.  yes.  thats awesome.

i love seeing cases painted inside out!

the LCDs themselves are just about done (which is the overwhelming bulk of the hard part of the project), the PCB for it is awaiting the LCD, and then its the real crunch time getting everything integrated together.  fun fun.

ok, i'll have a look at getting these remade!  i need a way to connect the new front PCBs with the original backs, so needed to make this style 'cable' at some point anyways, so it works out all the same in the long run for me.

people will have to pop up the plastic frame from the PCB to do this, but it shouldn't be too big a deal I don't think.  regardless, i've gotta do it, so yeah, i'll just get started on this right now and make them available individually and then i'll have them done later.

(strangely and awesomely), my ex-GF has offered to help me doing kitsch-bent stuff the rest of the weekend.  its a great time to bust my ass and get stuff wrapped up and other things started.  excited to have read this thread!

i'm thinking maybe i should have some replacements of that particular cable made?

yes?  i'll do it if there is a need...  needed to eventually anyways, what better time than now!

^ i really like the paint on the first one, looks great

^yes, but my test was one ROM in menu 1, i didn't try bank switching (which should work the same), or the multi-ROM menu

i'll try to get it tested more thoroughly when i get back to ye old shoppe

i look forward to all the mods people do with this

since its not a game boy, although compatible with game boy games, i'm more curious about the ways people might learn to exploit the differences.  treat it as a new instrument, rather than a fake original with flaws (albeit significant ones using standard LSDJ... maybe pitch bend isn't possible with the device, maybe it needs to be addressed in a different way, i dunno).  perhaps its a dead end.  its real new for me too, i've had one for a while but not to where it was 'safe' enough to hack at it without damaging my 'collector' copy.

if i can get any technical data on this, i'll pass it along for sure

whats your entire setup and purpose, like where do you intend to play (at home, on the street corner, etc)?  recording into a computer?  etcetcetc

the more details you can give, the better answer you'll get in the long run wink

also, edited your thread title to make it descriptive of thread contents.
