Well I have to disagree! I find mass transit is a great environment to shut out the world and make music.

Long distance trains are probably the only mobile medium where it's cool to make music.

Most of my music writing happens on my 1 hour train ride between Princeton and New York City. If that's what you consider long distance, then I guess you are right.
