unemployed hopefully you guys can think of some hilarious jokes & digs about it

im not sure the timbral quality of the music is a good indicator of the damage it can cause to your ears. i would guess that merzbow fans are less likely to get hearing damage than drum n bass or trance fans.

maybe its worth considering that chip instruments have fairly limited dynamic range so it might be possible to make loud (relative to 0db) music using them which if you dont adjust your speakers accordingly could be painful

also note that headphones are somewhat more likely to cause hearing damage than speakers

theres an idea that telling people about your goals gives you some of the same satisfaction as achieving them - making you less likely to actually get there.. but its a nice idea for a tracker. good luck with it

well ive got one of these cards and you can use pretty much any dos adlib tracker. but you have to be running windows. install the drivers in windows and then reboot in dos mode and run the setup program (have to do it every time you boot into dos mode) & then you can use dos trackers like adlib tracker or reality adlib tracker

do you think you could add a headphone out to a yamaha portasound keyboard? i dont have much to  trade but i can pay money and/or i have a nanoloop "one" cart

? i wasnt being sarcastic i think its a cool idea

im not sure which players would be best. schism and impulse tracker are safe i guess. i just noticed that xmplay turns Qxx off when a new note starts and it makes the first song sound stupid

ive already seen some channels like this. the one i see most often is https://www.youtube.com/user/ReclusiveLemming

but theres always room for more youtube channels

i read on a blog that ~100 plays on bandcamp etc translates to one physical sale. maybe the ratio is slightly more favourable in a niche scene like this though
