Did you upload the sketch with the Arduino already breadboarded? I know people have had issues in the past connecting all the components first.. This sounds like a software thing, either that or the link cable may be wired wrong..? Everything looks good in the picture, could you get a close up of the link cable?

I was going to make my own thread, but i suppose i'll just toss it up here- i have a copy of Nanoloop 1.3 i'm looking to get rid of if anyone's interested!

The switch i used (which can be found here) is just a standard SPST pushbutton. When pushed it closes the circuit, which in this case is just a link to the oscillator. In other words, the 'clock out' from the board runs into one pin of the button, while the other pin leads to the GameBoy's clock!
I was surprised, when i first tried this, that even though it was quite a jump going from the Pitchmod back to real time- the gameboy almost never crashed! (Certain games (Gameboy camera) seem to crash easier than others?)
I've been trying to document my findings in this Instructable, but i can't say i've updated it in a while..
Thanks for your interest!

I threw these guys up on the trading post earlier, what do you guys think?
Details and stuff can be found over here too, if you're interested in purchasing/trading- or just seeing more pics!

Are you considering trades? I have a couple of DMGs if you're interested! Or, i'd love to personalize one for you!

Thanks for all the complements guys! Glad you all like them!
The whole ground boost thing was sort of a happy accident.. I noticed you could have your right and left sound channels connected, without a ground wire and get a more clear signal than the ProSound mod! Of course it comes in a bit quieter, but thats why you can flip the switch- connect the ground- and pump it up!
To be honest, i'm still trying to figure out how it works I'm assuming it's limiting the wave's amplitude, but i don't want to say anything for sure until i'm positive! (So far it's only really noticeable wearing headphones, or plugged into a computer- doesn't seem to work with my speakers.. i'll be playing with it in the future!)
EDIT: Woops, i forgot to mention- to install, just run a switch between your ground and your jack! Connecting the two will enable to boost..

Hey everyone!
I really need to move some of these Game Boys!!! I've got a couple really neat projects lined up, but I just don't have the funds at the moment- please take a second to check out my builds if you're looking for a new DMG!
I've had these sweet arduinoBoys laying around for a while, but I can't for the life of me get them to work with the maxpat editor... I've had them sync with my keyboard, so I'm not sure what's up- But if you're interested in one, I'm sure we can get it working for whatever your needs may be!
Check 'Em out! They've got a Pitch mod, Prosound, V5 backlights, original speakers- everything you could want in a arduinoBoy!
› Internal RGArduinoBoy
› Internal ArduinoBoy
Looking for a cool, PitchBent pocket?! Look no further,
› WaveBoy
I also have a ton of DMG shells, both painted and plain- click below for pics!
› DMG Shells
I've got a couple regular DMGs too,
› Working, Unmodified, DMGs
I'd be more than happy to work out shipping if you're interested! I can ship internationally, although i'm in the US.
Thanks in advance!
And feel free to shoot me an email/PM if you have a custom build you'd like to see become a reality!

Re: Internal ArduinoBoy Pro Mini Shields! [Possibly for Sale!] (2 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Oh wow! Thanks for the tips! Looking back, i may have gotten to excited about this, and published this a bit soon
This is the first board i've done on this program too, so i'm still figuring it all out..
I'll work on a newer version of the board sometime soon though! A few of the traces that are shrunk only because of space, but i'm sure a better design could fix that! I suppose you're also right about the SMDs, i might even just order the parts and solder them here anyway! I didn't know about the angled traces- i'll be sure to keep an eye on that in the next version!
I was able to slide a mini, and a mock up board i put together beside the regulator, but i also dremeled out the pieces that hold it in place- giving it some more room, slipped my mind though, thanks for mentioning!
I'll be sure to keep updated!

Hey Guys!
A couple months ago i saw a post where someone had drawn up a schematic for a circuit base around the ATmega328 that worked basically as a internal ArduinoBoy, but was all on a central chip! Of course i can't find that post now, but i was really excited to see this new approach to the ArduinoBoy, as currently making them making them requires a lot of messy wiring and space: to have everything on a board would be great!
The design did bring along a couple issues tough; programming the chip would have to be done before it's attachment, plus you'd have to solder SMD, which isn't always easy. So after a long night, i present you with this:
A shield for the Pro Mini that's both small enough to fit (while attached to the Mini) in a DMG, and houses all components on board!
I've not had any boards made yet, but i'm thinking of putting an order in in about a week, it's cheaper to buy in bulk though, so if anyone's interested, i'd love to get these out there! Thanks to Apeshit's suggestions, I'll be working on a a newer, more compact version, so I can't quote a price as of now, but i can say the board itself will be under $10! If you have questions about the board, feel free to post- i'm really hoping for some feed back on what you guys think!
Cheers,
DS
