You can use a 2mhz crystal and the gameboy will run almost half as slow.

But the problem is that your songs will sound out of tune. Since the gameboy uses the clock speed to determine the pitch.

For example. A C4 note at half speed will be a C3
The problem with a 2 MHz clock is that a C4 will be just a little lower then a C3 that way.

Which could be interesting tho big_smile
And you can fine tune instruments in lsdj, but that's a lot of workaround.

So in short. Yes a 2mhz crystal will work, but your gameboy will be out of tune.

I made apeshits rom. smile
Just a static picture of his logo.

We had a whole discussion about it here.
It's quite easy once you know how to use it.

I've seen videos (timbob?) of video out from super gameboy to the DMG's LCD, and I believe another video showing the LCD PCB of the DMG outputting video to a MGB screen.

What I did with the super gameboy is technically not video out.
As seen here: http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/9096/ … cd-screen/

Since the SGB is already a gameboy I just had to connect a screen to it. (Same goes for the mgb basically)
To get a real video out you'd have to translate the data to something a tv or LCD can understand.
But kitsch is already working on it so it seems wink

You need at least 3 hook up wires right? Whats post and pre pot? Does it matter if i have a prosound mod already installed?

You can install as many pro-sounds as you want. I wouldn't use them all at the same time tho.
you could install RCA and jackplug in one gameboy for example.

and post and pre pot is just as it says. before or after the volume pot.

if you install post pot, you can use the volume slider to control the prosound. see the pic i posted a few posts above.

It's both prosound. Pre and post pot. The idea of prosound is to skip the headphone amplifier. Most people do pre-pot because the old pot can sometimes be a bit crunchy and its easier to controll the volume with a mixer anyway.

^_^
it's an awesome video.
and you can see me running the merch table at 1:30 big_smile

Will this help?

Or do you mean on the plugs itself?
If so: one plug gets right and ground. The other gets left and ground.

The ground is supposed to be connected to the outer ring. Left or right to the center.

What i usually did, was move the power converter to the right of the gameboy (where your speaker is/was)
And place the 1/4 on the left.

At the moment, it only works with an arduinoboy. Although theoretically, it could work with an NL-usb-midi adaptor. Since the nl adaptor just transfers the raw link port data, it's up to the program to interpreted it. If someone would write a program that could read the data from lsdj-midi out, it could well work

Also, if someone would write a program to use the NL adaptor for the gameboy camera to transfer pics....

just speculating here..
