1. Crashes can occur, but what you're worried about is data not being processed in time, correct? In that case, if sound data cannot be processed fast enough like tablesfor example,  and a new note is triggered, then the remaining parts of your table will be skipped. Crashing will probably only occur when you leave that safe range.

2. Give it a shot. Lets find out. You can always clean up the edge of your clock signal with transistors or logic IC's.

gotta suck it up. Then again, you'll be able to find a DMG or pocket easily if you just look around your local resale stores.

1. Yes, the tempo will change. You can however have the tempo controlled externally, so it will remain constant.

2. Sure, as long as the output signal is clean and stays within the safe freq range. The reason so may people use the LTC is because it requires so any fewer components to get it running. A 555 timer will require resistors and caps, whereas the LTC just needs a resistor or two.

What would you like to do about it?

Well the new everdrive will apparently have 16Mb of SRAM, surely that will be enough?!
See: http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/mega-everdrive

Is the sdram split up for use with multiple Roms? What I meant was that it may not support the mapping scheme. Chances are that it will have support is suppose.

I'd be more than happy to test that out, I need to get a genesis/nomad and everdrive first I supposed.  How does this function live in relation to LSDJ?  On the fly solos/mutes/transpose/etc?

There will be a cart release first, and we're not so sure the everdrive will support the enormous amount of SRAM that I have designed onto my boards. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. Only time will tell once the backup feature is actually implemented.

Hey Mike, I think you do too. I would love to actually attend a performance with someone using this.

You would be the first. Did it hurt? tongue
lol, it is beatable, but I apologize for any harm I may have caused you. I did all the sound and graphics back in ... 2009 for a silly class at Uni.

I personally want it badly. VGA, HDMI, or otherwise. I have always been quite the gamer and see I g as too many LCDs are kicking the bucket these days; I would rather not even bother with backlights any longer.

From what I understand it's much better if you install a modern led screen.

The original fluorescent tube sucks a lot of energy, so replacing it with a 5v LCD, LED backlit screen is priority!
I plan to do it shortly...but I need to find the right LCD. I am looking at one for $20, but all of the tuts I find use $40-$50 screens that they extracted from existing devices.

I'll post a thread if I find anything worth sharing.
