I only said Mr. Gimmick because that's what the image in the youtube upload says
Fair enough! I definitely suggest Trip World on game boy, It's sort of like Gimmick!'s little brother, graphically at least.

I've just been using some. energizer 2300 mAh. I dunno what people expect to get out of their rechargables, but these have lasted me a couple years. I have two sets of 4, one in the gameboy, one in the charger.

Oh shit, I'm gonna have to do something about Project S-11 on my rom blog!
Which also reminded me: the Worms: Armageddon Soundtrack is, at least, technically impressive. Sounds like a C64 game. In that entry, I recorded it from a DMG.

Deleted posts by Saskrotch, egr and coshinator with some really really tasteless jokes. Rules (especially rule 9) still apply chaps.
Aw what, all the best jokes are tasteless! And I really want that thing. Also I've told that joke at plenty of all-ages events, including in front of my own parents, and no one's ever said anything about it.
Fine here's one that MIGHT be appropriate.
This dude is at a bar, drinking his face off. He ends up puking on himself, and starts to panic.
"What's the big deal, it's just puke." Says the bartender. The man explains that his wife doesn't like him out getting drunk at bars all night, and if he goes home with puke on his shirt, she'll KNOW he's been drinking.
The bartender says, "Oh, no problem. Do you have a $20?" The guy takes a $20, the bartender takes it, and tucks it into the guys shirt pocket.
"Okay, so when you get home, you tell your wife you were taking the train home, and some drunk guy puked all over you. He felt awful about it, so he gave you $20 to take your shirt to the cleaners."
The guy is really into this plan, so he has a couple more drinks and heads home. Once he gets there, his wife sees the puke and goes off on him about spending all of his paycheck at the bar, and puking all over himself, and so on.
"No no, look!" He takes the money out of his shirt pocket and explains that a guy puked on him, and gave him the $20 to get his shirt cleaned.
She takes the money from him and examines it, and says "But there's two twenties here."
"Yeah, I think he shit in my pants, too."

I'll bet most of you haven't heard of Mr. Gimmick.
probably the most advanced soundtrack ever made for the NES. Crazy Japan only Sunsoft game that came out super late in the NES dev cycle.
I wasn't going to mention Gimmick!, (it's weird to me that people call it Mr. Gimmick, because it was only released with Mr. in the name in like one Scandanavian country, or something), because it's reached the status of being like, the best kept secret that everyone talks about, and sometimes people listen.
Anyway, I see your Gimmick! and raise you Trip World(from my rom blog)
Also, no one's mentioned Silver Surfer? . Probably same category as Gimmick! I guess.

Re: EMS 64M repeatedly corrupting? (4 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Have you tried saving the SRAM to disk, formating the cart, then reloading LSDJ and the sav?
Or you could try different versions of the LSDJ rom, and letting it create a sav file on its own, taking THAT save, using LSDManager to put your songs on it, and see how that works

I think the thing we should focus on here is that there are barely any chip producers who call themselves DJ

Re: Calculating groove in LSDJ (23 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
So my question is basically how would one add a groove to a sequence in LSDJ while keeping it at a specific BPM? I assume you would have to do some math that I am in no way qualified to figure out, maybe it's only possible for some tempos or easier with versions that aren't from 2007? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
I absolutely love playing around the groove command. Sometimes I use a basic shuffle (8 and 4) then break out into full compound time by using a groove of 4 and 4 and I just put an H command on The C line of every phrase. It works really well using the two in separate tracks.
Another thing I love to do when I want to go double time or add Demisemiquavers (or 32nd notes for you US people) is just have the groove to 3 and 3 for simple time or 2 and 2 for compound (don't forget the H command at C).
that explains that!

Re: Calculating groove in LSDJ (23 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
So does editing the groove setting send the BPM even further off than it was if it's a number not divisible into 4096? (can't remember all my math terms)

Re: Calculating groove in LSDJ (23 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I was hoping that .005% was wrong, cause I had to edit the shit out of some LSDJ channel recordings to fit in a 180BPM song.
