I have no intention of starting a bidding war but I also don't have time to muck around. First in best dressed. $300 is a steal!

35 dollars for a 10 foot 1/8 to 1/4 cable.  mogami cable and nice connectors but still.. damn

What specs did you pick for your cables?

mogami unbalanced dual cable.
10 feet
3.5mm conector basic one
2 1/4 TS cheap connectors for the other end.

its just that its a special order cable.  if i wasn't making an insert cable i'm sure it would be cheaper..   but then it wouldn't do what it needs to do

you are wrong.

you need 1/8 stereo to two 1/4 mono

look for insert cables

here's a search on sweetwater
http://www.sweetwater.com/c780--Insert_Y_Cables

and shielded?  umm never heard of shielded audio cables sorry.  do you mean balanced or TRS.

personally i just bought a couple of these, its nice to have spares

Ok, just to clarify:

Those Hosa's - I'd be plugging in the 1/8 male into the GB then BOTH of the 1/4s go into my PA (if I'm using a PA at the time)?

Also, this is what's meant by shielded cables: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shielded_cable

i doubt you are going to find any shielded insert cables.  just get the hosa i linked to

you need BOTH 1/4 cables plugged in to get stereo.  otherwise its just going to be right or left channel.
