Over the past month or so I have been creating a unusual style of music that I'm not really into.

So I decided to make a compilation by using numerous kinds of files including, .raw, .zip, .txt, .dll and many more! Using these kinds of noises can actually create music! Some of the artist have actually added drums, melody, noises, bleeps and bloops and all kinds of sounds!

RAW File includes a total of 6 awesome songs listed below,

Song - Time - Artist

- Experimental Coins - 2:07 - Codice!
- Syncholographic - 3:20 - Subterrestrial
- Transyl-Blip - 3:00 - Christopher_Voss
- SHRIMPING - 2:06 - Whitely
- Multisensorimension - 4:04 - The Mist Toggles
- 20 Things You Should Never Do.mp3 - 4:21 - The Raytownian

You can download the archive here

I hope you enjoy the compilation! And

cheers from,

Codice! and the rest of the artist who contributed towards "RAW File"!

not really sure what to think of the phrases that i pointed out..  as someone who tends toward the textural and less melody based stuff i'm kind of put off.

that said can't wait to check out what people did.

would be useful in my opinion. Since http://www.chipmusic.org/trash80/music already exists, I can't imagine it would be too hard to add a link to the profiles (maybe I'm wrong, though). smile

Except for that fact that entire page blows and needs to be redone. sighhhhh

the idea was to have a very clean looking forum.

you have your name, avatar, location, a pm button, and the thing that lets others know when you have new music.   no join date no post count.

that was a deliberate design decision from when we opened up the forums.

if you want to have links and other stuff they can go into your profile
http://chipmusic.org/infradead  like so

I would really disagree on this, just search for "Firewire problem audio interface" and you'll get hundreds of forum threads about that. Apparently there is a complex set of problems you can have with firewire, lousy FW chips like the dreaded Ricoh, and driver problems...

Some interfaces run just fine on any FW400 chipset which leads me to believe that it's more a matter of flawed audio interfaces or drivers. Never the less, I keep seeing TI chipset being recommended in general.

i had a m-audio that needed a TI firewire chipset.  what ever is in my computer wouldn't work.

i have a prosounus firebox now and it works just fine with the built in, which is good because the firewire card i installed died.

man you are really bummed about that rain.

i learned how to gaff at work earlier this year.  (gaffing is when you strap a pair of climbers to your feet and climb a telephone pole with them instead of using a ladder)

i did that in the rain yesterday just to see what it was like.  it was just a freaky as doing it when its not raining.

the moral of my story is that it doesn't matter if its raining or not.  climbing telephone poles with small spikes strapped to your boots is freaky rainy or not
