Yeah, if you watched the videos of him building the carts, he tasted them out in a DKC cart shell.

Yeah, That's where I got the idea, but didn't know if the production versions had any differences that would complicate it.

totally.  the first batch (beta batch maybe?) were grey original shells

That's awesome; I noticed that the DnDs use 3rd party carts (Proprietary DnD carts?)
I'm actually going to be buying some buttons from your shop for the mod job I want to do on my DMG!

Thanks guys!! I'm sure this is the first of a ton of questions to come!

I am just starting out trying to get into chip tunes, and want to be using a soon-to-be custom DMG, I want to use LSDJ on a DnD cart (I'm using a Mac and want the simplest backup solution) and was wondering if it would be possible to drop the DnD circuit board into any old gameboy cart if I cut a hole for the USB port?

Hey guys and gals,

My name is Justin, I am brand new to the forum and excited to be a part of the community. My main interest is DMG modding but my goal for getting comfortable with modding is to create a Game Boy I can use as a foot in to making music.

I have been reading through various pages and topics and trying to soak up as much as I can and in the short time I've been browsing I have learned a lot!

Can't wait to feel at home here and meet what seem like a lot of cool people!

Take it apart and spray the inside?

Yeah, I could do that but then the outside wouldn't be sprayed, which is the goal.

Sorry to make this a new topic but as a new member I am unable to bump topics older than three months. The only topics I found on Xmetals spray were all older than three months.
But I was wondering if anyone knows what effect the Xmetals paint has on the color of the branding text? I love the pink color of the text on my clear case and would hate to lose that color if I painted the outside of it..
