if there is not polarization film in the install at all, then yes this could be the cause of there not being an image

gotta have the polarization film...

Ohhhh Ok thanks! I was wondering if that was the problem, it says they are supposed to come with the backlights, but they must have forgotten to include them.....

Sorry that I'm such a noob.

I recently bought 2 backlights , and I got them installed just fine, but when I turn on the Game Boy I cannot see any text, It just looks like this:

Is this because of a missing polarizing film?
I have tried messing with the contrast dial.
Any input would be much appreciated!

Does anybody know how I should go about opening one of these guys up?

Use a virtual machine running windows 98 or xp.

What he said. There is a way to force Windows 8 to run un-signed drivers, but with the smart card's drivers it causes Windows 8 to blue-screen all over the place and restart. So I currently use windows 7 on my old Lappy to move roms to the card.

Oh ok thanks!

*feels like a total noob* xD

I just placed an order with the great folks at ASM. I ordered a couple of screen protectors, and I've been looking around the vast interwebs in search of a good tutorial for said back-light, but have come up with nothing. Is there an "official" tutorial on how to install the Density Back-light?

Edit: not screen protectors..... I meant back-lights..... FML tongue

Why so Chipmusic?

O_O something chiptune related in MN!?!?!?!!!???!

THERE IS A GOD!!!

Maybe this is a stupid question, and maybe you have already checked it, but what is your Key delay/repeat set to?

*that feeling of childlike joy*

I mainly wanted to maybe use the finger sensors, not motion.

I was just wondering if there would be a way to use a power glove to control a game boy DMG, I know the NES and Game Boy hookups are different and everything,
But I just wanted to know if this would be a possibility, or f anyone had tried this!

Ok, no other way to get it off without damaging the shell?

Hey, I am wondering if anybody knows how/ what to use to remove the "Game Boy" text from a DMG shell?

It's an acronym: the end of music as we know it

It's kinda stupid xP

Double post.
