I really like how you keep your bass tone super simple and oldschool. It has a way of fitting in with the Famitracker sounds that's unique and... charming? Not sure how else to describe it. I dig that the live production keeps things straightforward and clean on the drums too. It makes the break with the noise drums really pop out at you. Really great stuff dudes. Never stop.

Heck yeah, time to give this a shot.

So I had a conversation with a guy a few years younger than I am that I just met at work, and the subject came around to chiptune/tracking, because it's basically all I do at this point besides work or whatever. He was 100% the opposite of the norm described above. I asked "DID YOU KNOW CATS BE MAKING MUSIC WITH GAMEBOYS AN WHATNOT?" and he responded to the tune of, "No I didn't know that Frank, but that makes me happy as a goddamn clam eatin' candy, because repurposing old technology rules and the music from old videogames is really great. What genius created that shit? Somebody buy him a beer."

GUYS. SOMETIMES DREAMS DO COME TRUE.

I'm always amazed that people are amazed at this phenomenon.

Haha, fair enough. It's the sort of thing where you have to stop and look at the situation from the perspective for the observer. "WHY DON'T YOU INHERENTLY UNDERSTAND MY NEED TO MODIFY THIS SUPER GAMEBOY TO ACCEPT A KEYBOARD? BLASPHEMY!" It's a two way street as usual.

This album reminds me of when I lived in Portland. Sometimes me and my bandmate would walk around our neighborhood and find thrown away furniture on the sidewalk, take it home and listen to Suicide's album "1/2 Alive" at maximum volume while drinking 40's and destroying said furniture in the garage. We'd go apeshit and beat the tar out of each other. Takes me back man.

Hell yeah, this is badass dude. I've always liked your tracks and thought your sound design was interesting and fresh, guess it makes sense now that you were coming from a totally different perspective. More power to ya brother.

It always amazes me that when the general public is faced with the use of older technology, nine times out of ten people can't find anything to say other than "Didn't they stop making that like 20 years ago!?" There's this implication that somehow any technology more than ten years old is no longer useful or interesting, but has instead become WACKY AND HILARIOUS! Is it consumerism that drives this attitude, or do people really just lack an imagination when it comes to this sort of thing? I guess these questions are more or less rhetorical, but sometimes I gotta wonder. Don't get me wrong, Salad Shooters are wacky and hilarious... It must be a perspective thing.

Haha, dumb musings aside, this looks pretty rad. It's cool to see you (guys) posting, 8 Bit Weapon was some of the first chiptune I ever listened to and has always been a favorite. Thanks for the music!

Just in time for Halloween, here's an ominous release out of the blue. Lu-Lu grinds out some menacing Industrial LSDJ sludge. Pretty punishing stuff! I'm trying out some various styles, including some FDS Thrash, and a dance jam about the time-honored Halloween tradition of indiscriminate property destruction.

Track Listing:
1. Lu-Lu - Fightbulb 01:29
2. Lu-Lu - Skeleton Roleplay 01:45
3. Lu-Lu - Not For Application To Hands 02:08
4. Imaginary - The Erstwhile Corpse 02:49
5. Imaginary - Fearless Mailbox Assassins 02:23
6. Imaginary - The Starlit Walk Home 01:55

Grab it on Bandcamp here.
Or here.

If there are any plans for a run of carts, put me on the short list. This looks like exactly the kind of thing I'd be all over. Love those fourth gen consoles...

Various Fridges

I'm fluent in programming several models of Sundanzer refrigerators, but they only run on 12v or 24v solar systems. If you're not afraid of going in a new and revolutionary direction we could really make waves in the Demofridge world. I'll pay you to work with me and use my fridgegame to make yourself a huge profit, because nothing is more valuable than exposure. Oh, but please don't actually credit me, as I want to keep it real for all my Demofridge homeboys.

This looks radical, but are you guys calling it quits after this? The Dendycompo series is full of great stuff, I'd hate to see that end.

You'll love this shiz man - trust me!  There's just lots of data mashing to deal with - the SNES does some wierd shit.  And also not launching without a live mode so people can rock out on stage with it.  All very well opening up the "SNES wave"... be we want to open up "the SNES wave which rocked"

I've been waiting for this my whole life, I can wait another year. This is going to be amazing... cheers!

Yeah dude, pretty dope for a first track. Is this famitracker?

Hell yeah man, I'd like a peek at that. I'll send you a PM.

Yeah man, aren't we all? tongue When the credits rolled I had a pleasantly surprised chuckle. It was like "Dude actually cares that there are other people working to make art. Rad." (Or his managment/production company does, at least.) I'm not even about all that too-sensitive SJW cultural appropriation biz or anything. I didn't want to give off that vibe. The world is such a cool place these days specifically because we have such free exchange of culture. For me it's more about keeping a satirical eye on musicians in the limelight (or corporations, or big media, or whoever) trying to jump on fads or trends that they don't understand to turn a quick, glib profit. It's not like I get my panties in a bunch over it or anything, but they're not getting out of it without a figurative spitwad to the back of the head.
