Nothing wrong with beats, blips, and phrases recorded and played from a tracker or DAW. You might want to come up with a stand for keeping it still while you record it.

I don't know sound recorder, but if it has the same function as Audacity, I woudl advice Audacity.

Not sure about other emulators but the ones I tried on psp made the audio seem muffled and distorted.
