the backlight in that demo version (which was basically a brick, the XTAL was missing) is the new color 'teal' we'll be stocking soon. incredible color... my favorite so far.
i'll have the cases in the shop probably tomorrow. there is a lot going on, but they're ready, here, waiting on me.
yeah, it is very knockoff style, which is awesome to me i love clones and such.
I'm just excited to get my hands on that damn case. I have no idea what I'm going to do to it but it'll be cool. Maybe I'll flock it in black
i'm just going to say it, the highlight of blip for me was just feeling that case, all over.
matt, will I be able to get another case with the same buttons & screen protectors as the set I got at blip?
I like it too much to not have two identical game boys.
you'll have to build up the package from the parts, and the price would be different doing this, but all the parts are still around...

the entire packaged kit (at a discounted price) was, yes.
there were a total of 172 cast in the light grey batch, the first test run.
no, its not. the next color won't be the light grey, but it is something we're planning on keeping in stock once we're able to think in those terms after some of the mould cost is taken care of... as well as a stock white and black most likely. other colors we will rotate in/out and probably make them limited runs.
Black would be awesome. And I'm sure clears would sale. People are getting more into case lighting now.
If purple or teal ever become a possibility, I will most definitely be purchasing one.

everything is at a point where i can start shipping, so have at it!
this batch matches the original light grey of the dmg console, seemed the suitable color to get started with these cases. the next batch will NOT be light grey, so if this is a color you are determined to have its better to get it now rather than wait. its the plan to keep this color in regular rotation but there are no assurances.
i've had several people contact me about the packaged deal we had at blipfest with this case. if you wanted to recreate that package, this is what you'd need:

Any recommendations for painting one of these?
the material is abs, same as the original cases. any type of paint that bonds to plastic should work.
airbrush/spray paint would work the best, you can get clear coat spray too if you want to go all out...
i really like the look of matte finish in paint, rather than gloss. it being suitable for plastics is really the main thing though.
Sorry if this has been addressed already, but will you make custom colors for these?
