As the CPU and sound is from the super game boy and not the snes, would using a clone system to run lsdj work ok?

I'm looking to setup a dedicated lsdj system for my tv and would like something small.

I live in the uk and snes' s can be expensive. We never got the snes 2 (sns 101). Does anyone have one they would be willing to sell?

Assuming the system in question supports the Super Game Boy, I see no reason why this wouldn't work.
