Blurble blurble blurble...

Gamepak go into 2-player mode this month , as we team up with the LiveBeats crew. A realworld offshoot of the online Dublin Ableton users community group, LiveBeats have been putting on eclectic electronic music gatherings up in Space54 of late, with technical Liveset workshops as well as a genre-spanning range of musical performances. And of course we'll have our usual unique Gamepak attractions of nostalgic bigscreen multiplayer retro gaming action in a blisteringly lively niteclub atmosphere- not to mention the return of dancefloor Twister, putting a properly playful body-popping Twist on the Pepper's Twistedness...

And this month, we've got a seriously super line-up of musicalists playing...
Drokkr (Badman Press), straight up from Corkland, is perhaps better known for his recent open-minded forward-thinking approach to experimental beats & bass-mangling, carving out a unique niche at the more futuristic end of the dubstep spectrum. But with breakcore influences, and even a sideline in minimal techno, the man born Dave Barrett also has a whole 8-bit side to his thang, which aptly will be showcased with this exclusive Gamepak live set.

Shere Kahnn (Sociopath Recordings, Deformat) makes a welcome return to Gamepak after slaying all contenders at recent gigs in Bristol and Cork, where his singular blend of warped chiptune, pulverised beats and wild breakcore chops astounded unwary audiences, leaving ears bleeding and minds melted in proper Gamepak style. With an 8-bit album in the works (we can't wait), expect Will Erixon to be bringing back his usual level of levels of extreme dancefloor devastation back to the Mezz.

Q-POP aka the Qborg aka MarQ Solar is no stranger to Gamepakkers, with his unique mixture of circuit-bent bleeps, audiovisual VJ wierdness and 8-bit-saturated live electronic jams. A driving force behind the chillout stage at Life festival and other festive shenanigans this summer, his was also a sizeable chunk of the vision behind the legendary and spectacular 4thEye raves. Expect blips, bleeps, raw circuit-bent sounds and a cyber-osychedic audiovisual spectacle from QPOP at Gamepak.

Meanwhile LiveBeats own Toast Modern and Flynn will be kicking out the 8-bit liveset jams, with some live nintendo DS accompaniment from Gamepak's own Glotchbot, and with plenty of glitch and bass on the side. And the inimitable DJ C60Force will of course be cranking out the Amiga style rustic rave classics just to get y'all in the mood. In the mood for what? Well, dancing around dementedly while feeling like you're actually a bunch of pixels in some gloriously addictive 8-bit retro videogame! You know you want to!!
