so i started a blog with a sad name, basically i figure if people are gonna have blogs where they just upload albums, i might as well do one with games / game soundtracks.

http://latenightswithoutfriends.blogspot.com/

there's also a tumblr account, which is just links to the blog page for whatever i just put up. it seems like the feed takes a while to show up on the tumblr, or i did it wrong.

and even easier for most people (maybe, i dunno) is the new facebook version. the RSS feed is kinda wacky but it all gets there eventually

you guys should grab the silver surfer OST, because it took me at least 6 tries to find an .nsf for it that didn't have a corrupted version of the high scores screen song. included in the .zip

Wow, you're right! What on earth did I sample this from then?

Maybe I sampled it with the NSF from akumu's archive, but I could've sworn I made the switch to hcs64 already. Hrm! Anyways, you have a rad site with a great start! I had a similar blog, just for game music sampled to mp3, which you can check out here-
http://www.explod.org/

It hasn't been updated in forever so the last several entries probably have outdated links (as well as everything hosted on one of the two main ftps I used). Basically I made the switch to just uploading everything on youtube. You'll find much more up here, and most soundtracks have a download link in track 1 without broken links.
http://www.youtube.com/explod2A03

If there are any soundtracks there you like feel free to redistribute them. They should all be nicely tagged/ organized, and complete. smile Conversely, would it be cool if I uploaded some stuff you share on youtube? I've sampled literally everything myself thus far, but so long as someone else is also making the effort to carefully sample soundtracks in their entirety, I would love the help! I'd like to put that Wonderswan soundtrack up, for example. I'd of course link / whore out your blog and everything. Let me know if that's cool!

so i finally started posting to this again. the last two entries are:

The OST to Contact (NDS, 2006)
and
LSD: Dream Emulator (PSX, 1998) (which I've made a PSP EBOOT for, if you're running custom firmware)

The tumblr doesn't seem to be updating anymore and I don't really feel like managing (logging in/out of) a third tumblr account. Facebook page is going to be regularly updated with the blog though.

Lookin' good!  - I especially enjoyed learning about LSD.   Whoa- cant believe I never heard of that one; seems like it would have been right down my alley way back in the chipmodded PS1 days.   Dude, I thought Vib-Ribbon was trippy!    gotta figure out how to play import "back-ups" on my old ps2.

edit-better reply

the blog is dope, I had a 3hr sitting with that game last month, totally worth the time. Kudos on porting it to PSP. It is a game you share war stories and flashbacks about. Hard to forget. Keep it going.

i'ma keep it going, at least for a while. I've started writing multiple posts and leaving them unpublished when i've got nothing else to do, just so I have stuff backlogged for when this thing starts feeling like a burden again.
