Use drop.io or put the songs on Soundcloud. I'm not waiting 60 seconds for a download button and dealing with pop-up ads.
I know I sound like an asshole when I tell people this, but seriously I hate (with a passion) when someone asks me to download something from a website that makes it very difficult to download stuff for free when there are lots of much better, easier to use alternatives.

you should seriously just find something, like soundcloud, where people can stream your stuff. i might download this, but that means it's never getting listened to, that's just how my download folder works
, that's just how my download folder works
sigh
its the same with my music folder-_-
im just not good at this marketing stuff
i just make the product i dont know how to push it
i need a manager or something

It's really not difficult.
aight ill bite
There's no reason why you couldn't have just used the music section http://chipmusic.org/music
sure there is, like actually, soundcloud is kind of more recognized, some people who don't live on this site might check it out. also just kind of an easier way to link people to all of you music at once

i tried that
i dont think theres enough people using this site for that to be as effective as i want
It's been stated before, your aspirations are 100% backwards. I don't want to sound like a jerk or a hypocrite, but your music... isn't good. Granted, it's not nearly as bad as mine was when I was starting out, but still, you have no real quality "product" to "market". Sure, it's nice to have a release out, but it can wait for a day when you're really ready. You aren't ready.
It's kind of a slap in the face to work hard on something and having someone tell you it's no good, but later on, you'll appreciate it. It's much better than everyone around you sweet-talking you, and looking like a fool in the process.

yay i know what u mean
ive only been doing this 8bit thing for a month
but if i dont put them online theyll just collect dust in the music folder
so minds as well just put them out there and see what happens
collect dust
This is what most of your music should do. Even when you're the best.
