First chip "gig" was at my schools fun day, my friend and i were invited to play so we thought, "why not?"
Had plenty of mates cheering us on and made a few more out of it, it was a fun set.
i would have come more prepared if i did it again, took us forever to set up, and i would use non backlit gameboys, because live mode on a sunny day pre biversion days was pretty hard tongue

my first chip gig was shaky at best.....didn't have the prosound mod on my gameboy yet (so i sounded terrible) and also had other technical problems.....but each gig seems to get better and better smile

I've been playing shows for three years, never used a 'prosound' mod - the sound is fine. I don't get the obsession with them. The output is a bit clearer, but virtually unnoticeable when music is being played.

I'd say your first show isn't one that matters - you're only as good as your last performance.
