Ok,  but should I want to install a SID2SID with 8580s, how can I reduce the voltage?

Get a different board. They are specific to the SID, you can not use them interchangeably.

there is dude on mssiah forum who design new boards called sidx2 i believe you can install any sid in any c64 wit this board or even have 6581 and 8580 on 1 board. anyway find him and talk to him.

You need to build a circuitry to allow that. More trouble than you want.

6581 = old board
8580 = new board

with SID2SID or not.

Your 8580 is probably broken already anyway.

It's not sid2sid it's sidx2
all info in the world about sid you'll find on mssiah forum

Jesus, it's not my fault if your day was crap.

I was just saying I don't think the mssiah forum is that great... "ALL the sid information IN THE WORLD".

I wasn't even talking to you, but to the original poster who mentioned the SID2SID (NOT SID2X).
You shouldn't be calling anyone ignorant or any names anyway.
As Pulselooper said all the information about SID is not to be found in the MSSIAH board for SURE.

For calling names I apologize. Maybe I should use word "lots" instead of "all".

Maybe you just should chill out and not call names at all. It's that simple. I know it's hard, but try not to call names on those motherfucking ignorants.

It's dead easy, so long as you can solder. You replace VR1 with a 9V regulator, and the two filter
caps with 22,000pF. Takes about five minutes and costs about £1.

Hey. Anyone know of or have a little more comprehensive guide on using SDI - Sid duzz it? The manual just didn't do it for me..
Just basic ( getting-started ) stuff as of how to navigate and creating instruments would be nice.

Follow the goattracker tutorials and learn to use that, then SDI is piss, seriously.

I know goattracker and in my opinion running sdi on a c64 tends to sound better - more analog sounding.

But in user-friendly-ness I agree with you.

Ninja tracker is quite similar to Goat tracker if you wanted to have something similar to it on the C64.
