Philly, i know i said something already but basically i just said philly's cool, now i'm telling you why.

+not too big, not too small (easy to get around)
+people are pretty friendly
+8static
+lots of awesome little shops around (old city mostly)
+not as expensive as new york
+close enough to new york that blip and pulsewave aren't too out of the question
+cool art community if you're into that (could be a negative?)

-things close early usually
-public transportation is pretty shitty
-not too many practical stores within the city, need to go outside the city if you want reasonable things
-crime...

i like philly, there's really no where i'd rather be.

Yea, so I live in small town in southern USA - New Bern, North Carolina to be exact. We are the child city of Bern in Switzerland and are pretty darn historic and all that jazz, but we've only really kept one thing over the past 300 years. Screw cows, we have freaking Bears.

EDIT: Apparently leeching these isn't working for some of them...

As to the actual music scene here, its pretty much Rock or Metal. Or Top 40 remixes. A small hick town means hardly any nerds, and then even fewer nerds interested in techno/trance/chipmusic. Ima try to change that in a couple months though.

Wow, those bears look AWESOME!

Chicago sold their fake cows at auction.  It wouldn't surprise me if the cows in other cities came from there.

LONDON, UK reporting...
As you can imagine there are usually quite a few chip events in the area, including Sabrepulse's one which is monthly. The people here are quite friendly before drinking hours start... especially here in Camden. The rest of the music scene here is amazing, too hard to keep track of it all to be honest. The rent is expensive (i used to be in Zone 1, hemorrhaging £700 a month) and the beers are expensive too sad

BLACKPOOL is where i went to uni and is a really fun/ friendly place to live. There were quite a few 8bit musicians too, such as Flanboy and Spacecadet. Beer was cheap as water and the air was pretty fresh. Plus Flanboy used to organise stuff like the 8bitball at Jenx

also I used to live in the Isle Of Man (and visit family there regularly) where the music scene is dire. Heavy on tribute and folk bands, I don't think a single chip gig has been put on there ever! I'd be too scared to suggest it too. but we do have lots of FIBRE GLASS COWS!!!

I might move to Vancouver in a few years time, looks nice there....

Live in Cramlington/Newcastle in the North East UK, as far as it goes its fairly rubbish, high unemployment, uninteresting music scene and lack of any chip gigs, its fairly cheap to live up here though, and the drinks are dirt cheap.

Also Syphus, Spoonbender and Cerebral Scars live here, and if we're sneaky we could probably get Firebrand Boy from across the border to Scotland if we just bundle him in the back of a van.

Christ, I haven't heard from her in probably over a year, the last time I would have seen her would have been the second Alliance gig or just wandering Newcastle, thought she just dropped out of the game.

Wisconsin   pros- cheap beer, cheap living ( renting a house for $600 a month), people are insanely nice, are biggest crimes are domestic disputes in trailer courts, cheap beer (twice because its that cheap). food is pretty good (makes up for it in price).

cons- hicks, no music scene, and all in all not much to do ( and that's a big one) unless you like sittin at the bar.

What do you like about where you live?
2nd biggest city in the world
What do you hate?
Traffic
How's the music scene?
Insane. They have everything here... seems like if artists can't make it in the US they move here then learn Korean and make music here.
