hmm, not to be a buzzkill (even further), but looks like domain registry expired on wayfar.net.. very glad i have a printed version of all the midicc stuff (though i always just went back to the site when working on stuff)
He said I should email him if he hadn't sent it out by February, as it had been over 3 and a half years. I emailed him, there was no reply. I emailed him in March, there was no reply. I emailed him in April, there was no reply. And so on.
The site works fine.
you probably still have it in your browser cache.. save it while you do, since typing in www.wayfar.net brings up a placeholder site

the domain expires on 30-Sept-2012 and the site works fine for me (no, it isn't in browser cache but probably isp dns cache or somthing). looks more like a dns issue than anything else.
or, at least, that's why many people can still access the site.
It seems like the domain returns an empty A record, i.e. the domain name doesn't look up to an IP address. I would like someone who can still access the site, to do the following in order to get me the IP address:
Start, run. "cmd" This opens the command prompt. Run the command:
ipconfig /displaydns > dnslist.txt
This creates a file called dnslist.txt which contains all currently cached domain names. Open this file and look for wayfar.net and tell me the IP address.
It has no A Host record. I see the website too.

Search again. There should hopefully be a second entry which has a caption that says wayfar.net instead of www.wayfar.net.
didn't work for me 2 hours ago but works fine now.
weirdness, didn't work for me for a little over a day, loads fine now

No, there is no IP. I didn't look it up by hand, I used the search function which brings up only one instance of "wayfar"
Sorry. I only saw Chainsaw Police's post. I see the IP in the ping output.
