To be honest, I don't like emulators at all, however I compose a LOT on bgb emulator, but NEVER do I record with it like some choose to do, I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying it's certainly not authentic and usually sounds bleh, so I record on hardware. I compose sometimes on hardware but batteries are so expensive!
