Hey everyone i have finally finished my arduinoboy/midiboy i like to give a special thanks to Nex for the design ideas and most of all the help to boddah for helping me throughout the whole project and kitsch/asmretro for some of the buttons and backlight this gameboy includes:
-2 1/8th midi in/out jacks
-Internally prosound with original jack
-Matching buttons and power switch with original port connector
-Biverted Orange backlight x4 leds
-Red arduino leds with pushbutton next to them
-Brand new dot matrix screen protector
I hope you guys like it i spent alot of time on it and i love it.

so many awesome mods in this thread, i couldn't even manage a backlight!
i'm still probably going to use it for recording though, it's the only gameboy i own with a prosound.

This is what I worked on last night. It's a co-op with a friend of mine.
It's spraycoated on the inside which in the end looked a whole lot sharper than I initially thought.
There are a few kinks with it, but nothing too worrying methinks.
