2012 - 2013 days of optimism, innocence, freedom, discovery.

Feels a long time ago.

As an experiment : music for a 101 year old me

the official version cyberpunk trailer ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P99qJGrPNLs ) didn't feel 2077 enough

is it Chip Music ?

It's all written in a Milky Tracker, with a lot of back and forth to Soundforge.  So, in tech terms, it's legit.

For me, now, as before : chip music is about shaping grains, transforming tiny particles &| waves into beautiful complex structures.

Peace and love

Chipmusic is 1/4/8-bit music made with hardware chip, not? Milky tracker is based on FastTracker II, not? So it is sample based, i see future with special intelligent algorithms for arpeggios, similar to those made by Stephen Kay of Karma Lab for Korg Karma platforms, otherwise we have to redefine what is chip...

yes, he is... sample -based tracker music (particularly if it's made with single-cycle waveforms and other very small samples) has been a part of chipmusic since at least the early 90s

For me it's actually this (although it's 10 years old)
https://vimeo.com/2148419
Music, which is based on rhythm and new sounds, produced by a chip, Musicians, who are searching new noise palettes. Music, wich is not based on melodies, but polyrhythms made by blips.

not necessarily, but i'll leave explaining the distinction to those who've put far more thought into it than i have, like 4mat and goto80
