big_smile Yeah, that was fun, though 10 minutes isn't nearly enough to even give a short introduction.
In general, if anyone wants to host me for a talk on HT2, or a tutorial/workshop, I'm very open to that, as long as you can at least cover my travel costs.

Silly question - can HT1 and HT2 be installed side by side on one calc?

No, ht2 takes almost all the space.

Thank you!  This post just reminded me that I have 3 Ti graphing calculators in my drawer that I've picked up at variousthrift stores and garage sales over the years.  I'm just missing  the Silver Link USB cable....  Anybody know where to find the data cable without breaking the bank?

For the link, I got mine there:
http://www.ebay.fr/itm/USB-transfer-cab … 33d1ffb960

(seller: fandexbox => USB transfert cable/link calculatriceTexas Instrument TI 83, TI 83plus, TI89)

It was 12 € + shipping (from France so it was cheap for me).

This is awesome, thank you. Maybe I'll get around to releasing that HT album I've got half finished at some point...

What emulator are you using to run the TI on your computer?

Using tilem2. Recent Windoze build is here: http://tilem.sourceforge.net/beta/tilem … 161022.exe
Most *nixers can get it through their package manager (might be outdated though) or build from source:

svn checkout https://tilem.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tilem/trunk tilem

There's also wabbitemu. I don't like it, but seems to work well for other ppl yikes

thanks for the update! I managed to make one half-assed song with HT 2 20 a while back: https://www.dropbox.com/s/pn5diasi87ddq … s.mp3?dl=0
I'll definitely be updating to try more

How can I listen to your music guys on my TI83+ with houston tracker 2 installed? Is there any tracks available as a complete HT2 app with the track embedded? Or how should I embed the track into it when compiling from source? I'm not a musician at all, but what I want now to test my TI83+ playing some decent music smile

Hey everyone, I'm keen to start tracking on my TI-82, but the USB link cables aren't really available from anywhere in Australia. There is just one listed on eBay for around $50 (AUD) which I find too expensive for just the cable. Has anyone come up with a working solution that may be DIY? I'd like to avoid PC serial or parallel ports, so some kind of serial to USB converter would be good. Thanks!

Yeah, 50 AUD seems a bit steep. Though the SilverLink usually does cost around €20 new around here, which would be like 30 AUD.
The official name for the SilverLink now seems to be "TI Connectivity Cable USB" or "TI Connectivity Kit". Search for that on Amazon. Make sure it's the actual SilverLink though and not the "TI Connectivity Standard Mini-A to Mini-B USB Cable".

Alternatively, you could try to get a Graylink from Alibaba. Or, if you're adventurous, you could try to set up ArTICL. I've no experience with latter, though, nor do I have any reports saying that it actually works.

Serial to USB converters are very hit or miss, with an emphasis on miss, from what I've been told.
