bump!!!!
fell in love last night.
read the entire thread
I always knew there was another reason why I liked bleo and wedanced so DAMN MUCH
looks like I'll be searching for a dingoo.
to clarify, do i have to leet h4x it w/ linux shiiit?
or how does that go down exactly???
edit: found a pretty good review of the dingoo a320
Pros: First of all - quality, it is very good.
Second - great and easy-to-use GUI
Third - features (GBA, video, music, FM, etc.)
GBA emulation is very good. I have downloaded SpongeBob and it's just crazy good.Cons: I don't see any cons.
Other Thoughts: I think this is the one of those things which are worth every penny. When i bought it i don't think it is a such great thing. But when i get it and start it change my mind :-)
Regarding ordering process. It is very good especially in part that i can track order and see where my Dingoo is :-)

love my a320. so sad i borked the screen. the a330 looks pretty slick too but no dingux for it YET. yes, you need to leet it up with linux to get piggy running but it's so easy a DUMMY can do it. the dude who wrote dingux just flew to china to chill with the dingoo peeps and it looks like there's gonna be an official firmware update to both the 320 and 330 to slap dingux on them slutz. also... i you back, man!
mine should be coming any day now. can't wait!
Love that the company embraced what the guy was doing w dingux
Really hope it becomes something w significant momentum.. Sometimes a gamepad is far more direc than a touchscreen
mine should be coming any day now. can't wait!
Didnt you get one in aki?

The Dingoo port requires linux to operate. the easiest way is to install dual boot software that will allow you to choose to boot on the native OS or Linux. from there you just dump all of the linux and your software shit onto the memory stick . to boot into linux turn the device on while holding the select button. if your real nice in #hexawe i am sure someone will hook you up with the direct lgpt boot (no waiting on startup and scrolling through menues. straight to LGPT) taht is floating around. some wonderful gents have made this and it rox teh cox.

that might help.
I had trouble getting the dual boot with my mac but it is easy as shit on windows.
does any one notice a tiny bit of lag time when hitting start on the psp? its not bad but trying to manually sync is a bitch.
Yea, I was just thinking about this today and how it really sucks for live when doing DJ style sets.

Is there anything like this on the dingoo, cos that's how I always do live performances.
cheapshot not that i have noticed or at least i havent found it notable in anyway. I think it has the most responsive start button that i have seen of the ports. Dont know about the original tho.

The dingoo is my personal fave because I'm more of an on-the-go pigger with a tight budget. It's really really small and the battery lasts an insanely long time. I have mine set to go straight to piggy when dingux loads, so from power off to piggy is literally 4 seconds. Sound output is OK, I've never directly compared but I've heard an entire set of piggy music via dingoo thru a club PA and it sounded excellent. I recently dropped mine on the face and cracked the screen, but got a replacement from deal extreme for $17. Plan on doing that today, so I'll let you know how that goes. The only real cons are that with the small size, the screen is a bit harder to see and that the shoulder buttons aren't as comfortable. Neither of those 2 things have ever bothered me, but some people have mentioned those aspects.
Is there a guide available at all on how to set up the dingoo to run piggy in this way. I'm having a few unforseen problems installing dingux.
If you want to give me your dingoo, I will set is up for you mate.
Bleo has a zip with all the junk to get piggy to auto boot somewhere but I can't find it off hand. I will ask him when I see him on line.
Edit, found it ! http://hexawe.net/mess/bleHOLe/PIGDOO.zip
