I encountered something strange, I composed a song in lsdj from an emulator, and it was sounding ok. When I recorded it from my DMG, some arpeggios (using the C command) were missing sometimes, for example when I played it 5 times, 1 time it was correct, the other times some notes were missing. I used new batteries and on DMG it was correct. But with the same new batteries on a GBC, the missing notes were still not there, as if the GBC couldn't handle that many data. Is it a known issue?

I have 2 DMG (non modded), and I have issues with the contrast as well, for example I set a contrast and it's rather correct, but when the song plays in lsdj or when I'm moving in the song it's becoming dimmer (with fresh new batteries).

I've sent a p.m. because I'm interested.

it's a cool shield! How much do you sell it?

I prefer on an android tablet or smartphone, sounds good enough, small form factor, usb charging, backlight, and I use the touch screen so it's quite much like the real thing. I can also use a cheap (5 €) bluetooth controller to get real buttons.

maybe only through emulation?

Enjoy/critique/ignore => For my part I'd say I enjoy your songs very much! I like the "metal" feeling in them and the strong melodies, and it remains very original nevertheless. You're a great composer!

I think so because I began to work on a tune on my android phone (Nexus 4) then transfered it to the cart on my GBC and back to John GBC without problem. You can give it a try.

The new Deflemask UI is really great!
Deflemask is rather easy to use, that's true. It's also multiplatform (like goattracker).

Cybertracker looks quite easy to use, I'll give it a try. At the moment, my favorite is sidwizard, the interface is great and it's rather intuitive.

John GBC is a great emulator for LSDJ: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta … &hl=en
I especially like we can move and customise the GB buttons so it can help to get a more accurate keypress (especially for the "select" button we can make bigger). It also sounds close to the original.

it looks and sounds great!

Why not use an emulator to avoid all natural extra noises ? wink

I'd be also curious to learn what is the cheapest way to transfer nsf files to a real console (I don't have one at the moment, but I'd like to). I found some hints, but it costed at least 100 €.

very nice sound, cool product, but 800 € it's not in my budget! I think I'll keep my Texas Instrument calculator with Houston Tracker II wink

It's interesting, but you don't have immediately access to the scales (by hearing them).
Why don't you use some lightweight musical notation such as the ABC ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABC_notation ), this way you can store in a text file all the scales, and add some informations in the dedicated field?

For example for the first 2 lines of your document, it could be translated to:

X:1
T:Bebop Minor
M:4/4
L:1/4
K:C
N: mood of this scale
C D ^D E | F G A _B | c

X:2
T:Major Blues
M:4/4
L:1/4
K:C
N: mood of this other scale
C D ^D E | G A  c

(and you can see / hear them with this kind of online tool: http://www.mandolintab.net/abcconverter.php (copy and paste))
