its been a long while sincee i used the 680, but il be grabbing it to try the editor so il definately try to get some of my old patches dug out, and give yours a try also.

Soooo... C S from UK, are you Cerebral Scars perchance? From up my neck of't woods? wink

its awesome 2 op fm synthesizer IMO. its unusual in that you must start with the voice presets to set the synthesizer into various operator algorithms
before you hit the synth editing. If you dont know this, youre probably missing over half the power of the unit. Great for bells, fm basses and whatnot.

The pads on mine are not triggering anymore, which is a shame, I nver got to use the drum sequencing elements of the 680, but I can imagine its fairly cool. (not as fun as "sequencing" on a casio sk5 or 100 though)

Id love to get this AtariST PSS680 editor on the go.
any one got the ability to create Atari floppies easily and mail me one for some pennies? Pleeease big_smile

nope just 64 ems usb here, works fine

good thinking, great great app. but mac only maybe? used to be anyway

so can fruityloops! but surely if you use it standalone its not acting as a plugin?
anywayyy, semantics.

standalone plugin doesn't really make sense.

do you mean a mini sequencer that is not a full DAW like fruity / ableton / cubase? Ie a really small sequencer app that you can route midi out to VST's? or like a big old sequencer to use ur plugins inside(ie fruity or ableton etc) ?

am i going to be the first to release a heavily picoloop utilizing release?! possibly!

right had chance to use this and sure we can be of help to each other;

something i could help with; setting the mask overlay to any polygon, not just triangle x 2 / square,
also the text overlay, scaling up the text and using that as a mask for the image in much the same way as the mask overlay (you can probably do these yourself im guessing)
including a kaleidoscopic reflection mode.

something you could help me with; showing me how the hell to get an authentic (im guessing this is genuine and not pseudo glitching?) glitching process going, as opposed to my pseudo copy/ pasting around to simulate certain types of image glitching.

work with me bro big_smile love ur tool as is however. Awesome work

big_smile GP2x!

Oh man, between you and ERik producing the gameboy ROM Chord, now is a sick time to be on this board for sure,

with your skills possibly! i dont know about file loading interfaces for web apps, but so far it is standalone desktop app with drag and drop file loading and the two modes i mentioned. Couldnt quite get my version of a glitcher working yet. but yeah hit me up privately if youre interested in possibly working together on it, and il send you something to play with.

I LOVE YOU ERik!! Cant wait!
Hey man, if you go to the Gogo penguin / mammal hands show in Manc in Feb, let me know and il buy you a pint there wink

i would very much like you to collaborate with me on a full image editing / destruction program, incorporating such glitch effects, i already have some cool features done like vector pixellator with various shapes / lines etc replacing the pixels if you want, a polyrhythmic colour phaser, and much more.
Im working on it in processing, so vey similar to javascript, plus im in Halifax, West Yorks, Extremely close to where ur at!

Good work!!

it is possible. not so intuitive;

use track multiplier (ie 2x, 4x , 8x pattern length) then a mixture of note offset and retrigger commands. this at least works for nano 2.3 / 1.3/1.5
the note offset function was usually found by pressing start on the retrig command.

this may all be different on new nanoloops, but hey,it may help. And i cant see why such an essential feature would be dropped given that it was the the only way to program swing of any kind
