I too would love to contribute... Dunno if ur happy to have multiple people working on this or not!

just bought pico 8 / voxatron. pico 8 is incredible for lofi live visuals, cannot wait for chip to arrive (shipping to uk is more than the fuckin computer- urrgh)

however, my coding skills are in processing / java. whats the best place to learn Lua / Pico 8's wierd implementation of it? I sort of understand part of the readme about coding, but the stuff such as tables and arrays in Lua have me scratching my head.

turned on my gp2x after months of non-use, and the screen appears to have a fault; namely, there is a half inch white band down the right hand side, the image is pushed a half inch to the left and the screen image wobbles / flickers every few seconds.

I havent dropped the unit, fried the voltage regulator or bricked the unit via firmware updates, the model is an f-200.

Anyone know what might be causing this, commong gp2x screen issues or of any compatible screens that I could swap it out for?

Pissing me off as I just got my piggy to midi back after years and was planning on using the gp2x as my main sequencer..

Want badly. Shame the initial release of pocket chip won't allow you to pull out the chip and immediately use it standalone, but I can live with that.

Anyone else shown you their sketches through the textmode lib Don? Be sure to link any and all examples to us here!

looking to trade a great condition amiga 1200, disks, leads and zipstick
and or Korg kaoss pad 3+ (boxed, manual, power, etc)
and or akai s20 (max ram, no power lead, top condition)
and or yamaha dx100 synthesizer, perfect working and cosmetic order bar a couple of ever so slightly deformed keys from where my lamp slipped down and heated them up a bit; key performance not affected whatsoever)

for.......

rack mount synthesizers / samplers / effects units. (TX81z, Casio FZ10r, Akai s216 / s3000XL, Emu 4 / 5 k ultra, etc etc) Nanoloop 2 (2.3 upwards) may also be of interest! I'd also consider trading or part trading for a microbrute, volcas, PO-12, hardware midi sequencers or interesting analogue cameras (half frame / multi lens etc etc) Im also rather jonesing for a pocketC.H.I.P when theyre finally shipped out.

I may consider selling it, but am not sure of its true value, if you must use money to get hold of this unit please throw over an offer. I'd really rather trade however.

I may also be willing to let go of my beloved Atari ste 1040, if it'll help wrangle some such synths or samplers out of your hands.

LEt me know what youve got!

okay, not as easy as I thought to integrate my sketches into this thing. Is it really a library? Seems more like a sketch, as you dont actually import anything into your own sketch. Maybe im missing something. And i guess me using an ancient linux netbook to test it was the main source of my errors.

Looking forward to getting it going though for sure; i'll report back soon

can you explain ur process a little more? Im using processing to porduce somewhat similar stuff, though not in the form of GIF's
