Just tested this out, indeed you must send notes on channel 16.

Just thought I'd also plug the thread I started in hopes of improving the arduinoboy documentation. The plan is to release a printable single page booklet as a PDF, as well as markdown on the github repo.

Justin Thursday made a useful diagram and posted it here: http://chipmusic.org/forums/post/225390/#p225390

So yeah, I'd swap red and orange and see what happens! They are serial in/serial out, so depending on which side of the cable you use it will vary.

Apeshit, what errors do you see on the arduinoboy schematic?

Tearauth, how do you find the quality? I re-shelled two 1000's and the quality was not great. seems like R and L are finicky?

Man...I'm trying to remember how the PS/2 mode works. For one keyboard mode on LSDJ is a little wonky... set the sync mode, then go into and empty phrase and try playing notes. Try on MIDI channel one. When I get home I can double check it for you!

PS nice PSP! Did you put that shell on yourself?

Make sure you have the sync mode set up before you plug in the arduinoboy, on both the arduinoboy and the gameboy. What mode are you trying to use?

Just got this badboy in this morning actually, so I can do some efficient reflow soldering

What exactly is this?

It's a screen to apply solder paste. Basically they silk screen it on (like a t-shirt), but the components on, then stick it in an oven to reflow the solder.

I have a nice list of compatible roms that you could choose to flash on it.

How's about that list?

You can look through the complete rom set for 32k roms. I made a decently formatted version and posted about it here: http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/18160 … gbc-games/

PIRATE SHELLS.

Get in touch if you want some ASM ones. Only 'cause I like ya.

Pirate shells are cheap! The quality actually isn't too bad either. I'd say they're about the same level as the Chinese gameboy shells.

Here's a little sneak peak (the baby arm is not included in the price):

Apeshit wrote:

that's a good price, man. how are you getting it that low? local manufacturing?

my 32kb carts run me about $15 each once it's all said and done. that's in quantities of 150. that's not even including the shell or label costs. i think i need to start exploring other options in the future to get that cost down a bit.

Hahaha, thanks a ton! I basically don't do anything unless it's dirt cheap. Are you factoring labor into that cost? Feel free to PM me and I can give you specifics.
