I feel like I should have something to say about this, but really I don't. Yes there's low quality stuff. Try your best, hold out for the good stuff, support good artists and labels, and be particular about your own collection. With things Moe Moe Kyunstep and some of the stuff on Ubiktune that we are making progress as a genre, things are moving forward slowly.

You don't need to sign the drivers if you're going to use the "allow unsigned driver" mode on Win7,and to access it just mash f8 on boot up (make sure it's a boot, not a session restore, and yes you have to redo it every time you reboot.

Re: lsdjsng revert (10 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
i erase all the songs from my cartridge and the "read sram", which saves a totally empty sav file. then i open that in the lsdmanager and add lsdsng's to that and save it as a new file, usually titling it with that day's date.
Just a heads up to btw, erasing all of the songs from a save doesn't erase the one track from the working memory, so is you want a clean one, erase Everything, then load a blank song, then rip the save. I've inadvertently sent everyone a copy of my old songs because of this, of course I give them out any way, so it's not a big deal, but be aware of it.

It's totally doable, I did this yesterday again actually, but yes it is unnecessarily complicated. You need to go to the device manager menu and un install whatever drivers windows tried to install, then manually point it to the folder with the ems drivers, it'll install, then you need to reboot and mash f8 until you get a black screen, choose disable driver reinforcement, Good luck!

Unfortunately, as I'm traveling I don't have any access to a pc, and it's tricky to do the proper formatting on my mobile, so I'll just outline it as well as I can.
Here's what I'm thinking for LSDJ :
SNES / GB
B = A
Y = B
L = Select
R = Start
X = start selection (select + b)
A = cut/paste (select + a)
Start = triple tap b (for highlighting phrases, also select all if holding select)
Select = go to main song screen (Though you can't determine which screen LSDJ is on, nor can you make new functions, a macro like "select + up, up, left, left, left, left, down" would always make it there, though it would probably be slow, most likely wouldn't work. Just brainstorming ideas here.
That's the Zef Special, if I could have any thing right now, though it's open to change.
If someone could format this into table form that'd be cool.

Wow, nice mod work here! Seriously impressive! I look forward to everything you'll put out in the future, keep documenting everything well like this too, it makes it a lot of fun to follow along. I for one don't mind if you don't end up making music, because you're an artist of a modder and that's an art unto itself. Us those of us who are musicians will certainly appreciate any advances you make to the modding scene! Personally I haven't modded a single thing, not really my speciality, but I enjoy seeing what other people can do, and I need mods for my music so I'm very appreciative!

Talent and motivation are much more important than equipment. If you've got a gameboy and LSDJ, that's all you need. Go make some music. You'll organically collect more gear *if* you need it. I've been at it for 3 years and I don't have a mixer yet.
If you want to spend money and get gear, then go buy some, but I'll let you know now that it won't help you make better music off the start.

btw dig the art, electro-zohar style- on a tangent if you get a chance to check out harold bloom's kaballah and criticism.. do it. he takes the mystical concept and applies to it creative criticism, really insightful, weird, and brilliant
Yeah, that would be sweet, unfortunately here's my problem.
Maybe someday.
Also! Thanks Laohu!
