I'm looking to sell my KP3 or trade it. I am trying to get a volca sample to maximize portability since the KP3 is metal that doesn't pack in my suitcase very well (I don't want it to scratch up screens 'n shit) I'm including the power adapter. Minor scratches, has a Noctua badge stickered on (easily removed) and works perfectly fine from my experience
USD 200 + shipping to be worked out
I can only think of one chipmusician who is conceited af and his name rhymes with boy's flannel
I screwed up the contacts that TRIAC pointed out, but I soldered instead to the ROUT and LOUT just above the jack and am using a 3.5mm jack I cut off a shit pair of earbuds to force stereo. I got a pretty clean signal off of that and I'm happy with the result

I'll update with pictures inside while I put the mod in my afterburner GBA so it's more complete, but there are other pictures in this thread that work just fine to illustrate.

that is a little bit creepy/obnoxious. Should it be "dealt with" then?
It's been a while since I put anything new out. I'd been working on an EP of sorts and it was sucking the life out of me, so here's something new that didn't suck the life out of me. I have no idea what style I'm going for since it's kinda my own style.

I got into it by means of it being a cheap entry point and I like tracker interfaces. I've since moved on to trackers, ableton live, and nanoloop (mostly the latter) and I've also moved on to spending quite a bit more money than I originally intended on doing. I don't regret any of it as I quite love the sounds.

I thought it should be working as a noise cancellation as you should skip componets as potentiometer etc. which generates hum noise or am I wrong? I would like to make this as well in hope of clear audio output. There were several threads as this one http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/8529/
sound-mod/ but there wasn't clear and succesfull conclusion.
I'll be documenting my process and results, so keep an eye out for that. I'll make an imgur gallery or something

if you could make a comparison it would be great,
thanks! I just dropped 16 bucks shipped on a 3rd GBA to test this out with. I should have results somewhat soon
catskull wrote:Oh or are you just wanting RCA jacks to plug into your mixer or something. In that case, still not worth it IMO. Just get a cable the goes from 3.5mm to rca.
to be honest, I want to get RCA out on top so I don't have cables coming off the front-side of my table that are easily unplugged if my hand happens to bump them while picking up "deck 1" or "deck 2" to change patterns
I wish that were just a BIT higher resolution, but that's a cool thing. I will see if I have a spare AGB board and test the points in that area to see what needs to be done. Thanks SB
Following thread. I remember boaconstructor saying he had a friend do it and then they never did commissions after that point so I never ended up getting one modded with RCA :\
I swear, oliver. Everything you make makes my wallet horny.

this is my thing. I don't really compose full tracks anymore, just improv
Mine recently died out of nowhere. It's really difficult to know WHY it died, but it's been degrading ever since I got it a year ago.
"Ugh this banner message is ugly."
"yeah, let's talk about 8BC and live performance instead"
"sounds reasonable"
This is why I always come back to cm.o. no turn of direction too abrupt.
