Finally we have access to something really good! big_smile
I have been craving so much about this when it comes to the defMON community!

I've been following this discussion here always with big interest and the official defMON toolsforscholars have been my handbook of choise BUT I have  missed something big: INSPIRATION!

Where is the tunes? why is there no big collection?
There is only some links to some SIDs in a weird underground based Commodore 64 site where you download a SID-file then you need to download a emulator for open the SID-file and it sounds weak. There is Stone Oakvalley but how do I know what is created in defMON? Plus alot is missing there.

I want MP3s, a folder where I have and can play defMON tunes instantly and now we have it thanks to DeepSID!!! heart

https://deepsid.chordian.net/?player=9& … rch=defmon

Here we have tunes made in defMON for instant play, creating own plays lists and upload tunes easily.
In my opinion this is the right direction for sure! big_smile

Just wanted to express my happy feelings!

Have a wonderful weekend! heart

@F7sus4: Fantastic work! Will run this as the first test cus Im almost done with my second SID installation. smile
I dont understand that "25 Hertz" thing tho? What tempo or speed is that? I saw you have "3" in the speed column in the first video but in the second video it was faster and changed to "2" in the speed column. I have very little knowledge about Hertz so excuse me for that haha!

@frantic: Im only happy for donating in something meaningful in my life. It has been a very difficult year but as Freddie Mercury said "The Show Must Go On"

@defMON: So I was thinking about all this Shift-U things again and was thinking about something else..

Lets say Im making an empty Seq-list all filled with "00" and I write "01" and making a pattern there but I then take it away from the Seq-list.
I take it back again by typing "01" and I can see my pattern there still. I take it all away again so I have only "00" in the Seq-list. I then write "02" in Seq-list and making a pattern there. I take it away again as I write "00" only in Seq-list. It will remeber my patterns anyway right?

But how far can it remember my patterns? All the way up to "FE"?

@frantic: That tune has always been my favourite from that EP! Wow did not even know you were involved. So nostalgic feeling from that tune same with "Ajvar Relish" by Goto80. Maybe the world will hear some defMON tunes by the creator himself in the future? heart

@F7sus4 Happy accident that you didnt made it private then. I really enjoy slow C64 tunes. Looking forward to hear the tunes.

The speed function is so good!

Yeah that sounds like the Shift+U issue I had 1 time making a long track and patterns got erased.

That thing only became a good experience for me and now I only use the SHIT+U command Simple because of one ground rule in my head:
When creating patterns ALWAYS keep them in the Seq-list! For me it is more flexible to work like that also. If I have some patterns Im unsure about to use (just a few) or want to try out later I just put them under the "FF" row in Seq-list for an easier access later on.

This projects from this user is so rad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rudz9QbDh68&t=6s and maybe he/she is around here? and if someone is willing to share ideas and setting or unfinished projects I would love to twist them or finish them as I call me a "music enthusiast" and not a music artist. just PM me smile

I had myself a simple dubby chip session outside the other night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNAiT52Pcog and it is so easy to just jam and create stuff what comes in mind along the way.

With that said as Frantic was talking about before with making it more live friendly. how cool it would be with parameter tweaking layed out on the keybed. I continue to donating for this project!

This night Im gonna install a second SID for the first time and I hope it is going well. It would be so nice with better chord progression! Im into making defMON mixtapes now also.

Cheers smile

martin_demsky: That is really cool! When I do random stuff I use to make 4 of the same sound within 4 different chunks.. Then I play them together With LP-filter in 4-6 patterns and changing the ACID parameter in every sound as it goes. So much fun!

Frantic: I donated 500 svenska coronas to you and you can expect more donations from me this summer.

I also did a tiny defMON tune:

This is fantastic 4mat! A mix program in C64 how awesome! smile

Great for chord stacking ey! I would try out the 6-channel mode first. smile

Is it like 3 channels of the orginal voices and the rest like echo of the orginal channels?

Okey now Im not so into Nesmusic and those trackers but I would have worked a little bit more with the bass part.
Overall a really sweet cover. smile
